They weren't the same colour and I bet that on the field it wasn't a problem.
Similar to when Man City play Chelsea when both are wearing blue?
None of the playing staff complained or commented did they?
Give it up DC. This ref is obviously off the Xmas card list and nothing you say or do is going to get him back on it? Rumour has it some of our supporters have reported him to the FA for gross misconduct, as after the game he was spotted urinating in a public convenience?

The point I'm making is that it shouldn't be down to someone to complain, it is part of the refs job to make sure there is no clash of colours. If it's a problem on field or not is not the question, surely one of the FOUR officials must have had the thought  "These colours are very similar" and if they thought that, surely, they should have voiced that thought? Nothing like Man City v Chelsea, City is a plain Sky Blue and Chelsea a plain Dark blue, both us and Donny were Red & White shirts and the Donny keeper in Red as well. Just to compound things, the ref changes to green, the same colour as our keeper, why did he change to green ?? Is he colour blind? changes from Black because it clashes with our Claret but fails to notice the Donny's Red clashes even more?

I know, I more than likely would have insisted on the change but we don't know what the conversation and the kit availability circumstances were?  Did they bring their away kit, did we have our away kit handy, didn't anyone have any bibs?  Don't they play in skins anymore?
What are teams doing anyway, playing away in their home kit? What's all that about?

You'll be complaining that Shaun McWilliams shouldn't have been sent off next... Grin

I remember a game in the Rushden Sunday League where a team had to go round all the dressing rooms to borrow enough white tee shirts to avoid a colour clash, could Donny have nipped up the Racecourse ?                                                                                                                    Smiley

Surely there are 14 away shirts in the shop they could pay for?

Well well well, what an interesting page? Turns out all is not as it seems, I’d have had Breakspear topping the averages on all cards? Whilst he’s no shrinking violet don’t believe the hype! Just change the drop down menu to league one. Sorry Charlie, I take it all back. Whilst 5th out of 51 still has him waving red around like a matador, he’s not the worst?

Breakspear update, last season he was 7th and the season before he was one of the most lenient at 49th. I wonder if he got his backside kicked for being a soft touch on his appraisal that year?
