2 points off the drop zone with the bottom teams finding form.

What positives will Curley take from that ?

Take a lead and then sit back. When will we learn? We aren't good enough to do that, all it does is let the other team build up a head of steam so when the inevitable happens and they equalise, they are firmly in their stride and we aren't.

Then Martin got his marching orders and we got exactly what we deserved from the game.

The only positive with Martin is at least he will be suspended......never ever let him wear a Cobblers shirt again....but I've said that several times before.

Thought he did ok and certainly does not deserve the vitriolic abuse you offer. Couldn't tell from iFollow if it was red card.

Max Dyche played well as did Arnie.
Shocking defending from Harriman for their first, but the tactics FFS, Curle is really clueless and delivers utter dross in terms of entertainment.

Inevitable, it should have been more convincing, they had enough chances to win it 4 or 5-1. Didn’t look like a booking for Martin imo. As has been stated prev, if we continue to play like that we will lose 8/9 times out of 10

If I'm honest, though I hope for better, I don't really expect it. We are Northampton Town, your bog standard bottom two tier club.

Until we find a goose to lay a golden egg.... this is it. I've seen us build two decent teams in the last 35 years, both times we romped the league. Cue instant dismantling and plop, back down we go again.

The only people with any desire for continued success are us, the fans

First away game I've watched on ifollow. Dreadful absolutely dreadful and not for the first time I believe.  I'm not one to call for managers head, but I'm beginning to feel that way. That sort of performance, tactics, ability, and approach has to be questioned and indeed people held to account for it and I'm sorry to say that starts with KC.

We fully deserved that. The only person I feel slightly sorry for is Steve Arnold.

Hopefully this is the last we'll see of Joe Martin. Think I'd rather have Sean Dyche's 14 year old daughter at centre half, never mind his 17 year old son.

We were poor and deserved to lose. I agree with all the comments here about the suicidal policy of sitting back on a lead. However, Joe Martin played well today and has been decent THIS season as a left sided centre back (definitely not as left back). He DEFINITELY shouldn't have been sent off as he was fouled from behind causing him to crash into their player. Should have been a yellow for their player. That's why he complained so bitterly after the sending off. Very poor decision. As for Max Dyche, he was excellent when he came on.

I would take that point entirely if we weren't producing this s***e against the likes of Crewe, Accrington, Bristol Rovers etc, who also fall firmly within the category you just described. Just because we're a bog-standard League One / Two club doesn't mean we should accept anti-football, there's no reason why we can't have a go at other similar sized clubs.

It's hard to criticise after the red, as it's obviously going to be a difficult after that, but there's no excuse for what happened before that point.

Defensive problems as well then, Martin and Bolger both suspended for the next game, does Racic have to be recalled or will he just role the dice on Dyche making the step up.

Sorry but Martin has already started to dive in to that tackle before he gets the shove in the back - the shove maybe causes his studs to go higher than they otherwise would have done, but still a mistimed, high challenge and one that if it were made on our player, you'd be screaming for at least a yellow.

I'm also not sure where this perception has come from on here that he's played well this season. I can remember one game where he put a really good performance in and actually helped us get some points, which was at Shrewsbury. At Bristol Rovers, Plymouth, Oxford City and again today, he's had shockers. After today's showing I'd rather see more of Dyche.

If he's fit then Racic surely has to play against Oxford.  otherwise there's no point in him being here. As for Martin he got the red for a bloody stupid yellow card for time wasting in the 26th minute.

That's the last away game I shall watch, I can't go through that game after game. I know the home games are the same but at least they are free.

Vitriolic abuse? Do yourself a favour and shut up old man!

Like the proverbial bad penny, you turn up after a contentious defeat. You and your damned agenda; its about time you respected counter opinions. Instead you come out with personal abusive comments. My personal opinion is that you are not a bona fide Cobblers supporter who cant wait to see the demise of the Club Management and probably the demise of the club. Good riddance

Contentious defeat? What in that the goal came so late on? How about the three saves Arnold made or the two occasions when they hit the woodwork? A deserved defeat would be more of an apt description.

No agenda...... you are right in that I can't wait to see the demise of the Club management, the single most boring Manager (in my opinion) in my time watching the Cobblers.

As for the chief benefactor? Who is he? And the Chairman full of promises but short on delivery whilst marooned in the US.....

I respect most counter opinions.....just not yours!! I don't give a flying f*** what your personal opinion of me is........sorry to disappoint!

Everbrite, there was nothing contentious about the defeat, they could have and should have had many more. Suggest you look up the definition of the word ‘contentious’. What was slightly debatable was Martin’s sending off but we were already on the back foot.
