Didnt hear it but how about KT bins Curle and puts Ricky and Alan in joint charge as player managers? Would have to offer both a new contract from Xmas but still might end up saving himself a few quid. Both come across as articulate intelligent men to me, isnt Sheehan doing his badges, didnt Ricky get himself a degree? He must be the best man motivator we have in the squad in any event. I can see them quickly becoming our next Wilder and Knill.
The most sensible suggestion on here for a long time. Ricky spoke with a lot of passion and didn't resort to all the same clichés that Curle trots out in every interview. I think we have a fairly honest group of players, and with a couple of exceptions, have enough about them to make a fist of staying up. With Curle continuing to pull the strings, however, we are doomed. I'm sure many thought this even at the end of last season a few months ago, but were afraid to say too much after a great couple of performances.

I did not see the game but listened to Radio N'pton and have seen the brief lowlights. Tim and Martin Smith agreed that Crewe were good value for the win. Maybe if we had kept 11 men on the pitch we may have held on for an undeserved point. Both Martin's yellow cards appear to be contentious, the first as KC says Harriman was the player standing over the ball waiting to take the free kick (I looked at the BBC site at half time and they had Harriman as being booked so I assumed Tim had got it wrong). For the second Martin Smith thought that it was our free kick and their player was going to be booked and could not believe the sending off. He also thought Martin was having a good game up to that point and I am happier taking his opinion over the anti-Martin posts on here. It is disappointing that we appreared to resort time wasting midway through the first half and surprising that Arnold was also not cautioned. I can understand the substitutions, when Adams starts I don't think you are going to see him play 90 minutes now. Finally one bright note was the performance of young Max Dyche, well done lad.
Agree with you on the second Martin Booking and Martin Smith's comments are interesting if only because he was commentating. I cannot recall the Ref consulting the Linesman but if he did then his decision was maybe correct. The indirect involvement of their 2 player is a puzzle.

Your “new” to posting are you? Your account was registered in 2013, was this because you were worried that someone else would take the name of a peadophile ? Just asking. Jim Hall a peadophile!!! What a disgusting and libellous thing to say! Hopefully you’ll be hearing from someone’s solicitor soon?! PS I really got to you didn’t I Manny? Bless.

With 11 men we would have come away with a creditable battling draw against a better team and there would only be the few usual suspects baying for blood! Whether the 2 yellow cards were deserved or not it was unfortunate and coupled with the red card in the Donny game, which I believe was more of an away team sending off than a home one, these sending offs have proved costly - points and “supporters” stress levels!

👍 Neither sad nor bitter - in fact pretty much the opposite. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot. I like you really - you’re very funny and pithy. Let’s start again!

There aren’t enough Cobblers fans in the world to justify falling out with any one of them!

Makes sense.
As long as it isn't as player/manager?

The Assistant flagged, did you not see that? As well as being able to communicate using their headsets, technology is a wonderful thing.

I agree, itwas the Assistant who first indicated the foul. Still feel that Martin was unfortunate. Didn’t deserve the first or 2nd yellow

I think the first one was worth, he wasnt even taking the free kick, he was just near the ball!

Should have booked the whole team for time wasting in the first half of a game, we are becoming an absolute joke to watch. We made Crewe look like Brazil same in league game before. Bar a few exceptions the squad seem to be lacking the basics of football techniques such as controlling and passing the ball to a team mate. The football we are currently playing is the most boring football I have seen since the Calderwood team went 1-0 up. Horrible to watch and embarrassing when speaking to fans of other league one teams.

Bit OTT for Holmes and Sheehan to take over from KC if that is your proposal? Because a player speaks with passion is not necessarily a passport to Management; for example, Page was excited about joining Npton too!. That Curle resorts to ' the same clichés that he (Curle) trots out in every interview' is a bit unkind' as several fans I mix with never mention it as an issue. I suppose it is a personal thing for you? At this moment I do not think we are yet doomed; perhaps somewhat too early to be sure don't you think? Regarding KC's performances last season he got us into the playoff positions mainly due to a string of decent performances prior to February. Many on here thought we would not even make the playoffs! After the PlayOff win, KC was mostly full of praises on here but there were some who were much more guarded when praising him. Fair enough!

Only just watched the highlights, now I'm not a fan of Joe Martin but his sending off was incredibly harsh. How he was booked for the first when he's 10 yards from the ball and Harriman is standing with his foot on the ball, god only knows, surely this should be appealed ? Also, the second one, Martin is the one fouled and he gets a 2nd yellow ? We are paying the price for being labelled a "physical" team, the refs have this preconceived idea about us, and treating us accordingly. Interested to hear Deepcuts view on those bookings

Interested to hear Deepcuts view on those bookings Inconclusive from the angle we have, but the Assistant Referee who had a much better angle than either the referee or us was convinced and flagged immediately. If I was the referee, I would have gone with his decision 100%. I haven't seen the first one but if it can be proved as mistaken identity, that is the only instance where a caution can be appealed. (There will be a full match DVD, which is given to the officials after the match) It would then be transferred to whoever should have received it. The second one would then become a single caution which, unless he has reached five, would not result in a ban.
