I have left it until now to comment but yes last night was bad. We have now failed to score in half of our 18 games but you cannot criticise the strikers when they are getting minimal sevice as we continue to create so few chances.
KC never uses the fact that so many players were unavailable due to suspensions or injury and always says it it an opportunity for others to stake a claim. We are able to defend as we showed against Fleetwood but last night we had only 1 of our regular centre backs available, a 17 year old we had throw in at the deep end and Hoskins pressed into service at full back. I was surprised we reached half time without conceding.
Among others last night we were without Bolger, Sheehan, Mills, McWilliams and Nuttall most of which would command a place in the starting 11.
I notice our regular moning minnies have been working overtime stating the manager should f off and aiming expletives at certain players. Some don't confine this to the management and players but aim the same offensive comments at the radio team, other board members and any individual mentioned by another board member. However, they rarely offer anything constructive and some are not even season ticket holders which shows a certain lack of allegiance to the club. If they are so upset why do they not form their own consortium and do something about it or travel a few miles to watch nice tippy tappy football at MK and they would not need to moan about the facilities.
We have a much changed squad from last season and we could not have stopped most of the players that left. Goode and Wharton wanted to play at a higher level, we could not get Morley back ( who some did not want when he signed), Oliver chose to go to Gillingham and Turnbull and Williams cannot get into the starting 11 of their respective division 2 teams.
Clearly with his budget limitations KC was not able to persuade certain players to join us and so we have what we have. KC has not had the luxury of the budget of some former managers who splashed the cash on the likes of van Veen and Crooks but that did not work out well.
If we changed manager he would still have the same players and probably little room to manouvre in the january transfer window. It is not easy moving players on who are in contract and most new managers want to change half of the team. It did not work when we sacked Page, Edingburgh or JFH so why expect anything different this time.
Calling for Holmes and Sheehan to take over is quite ridiculous and a certain poster seems to have inside knowledge of how much of his budget KC has spent, perhaps he can enlighten us to how he knows this. KC has stated he has acompetitive budget but he is unlikely to say otherwise.
Our bubble will be attending the Lincoln game SUPPORTING whoever is representing our club on the day as it is futile getting on the players backs. They are division 1 players are are prone to making mistakes as players do higher up the ladder. As we are creating so few chances we will not go expecting to be enthralled by the entertainment served up but providing those selected give 100% on the day we will leave happy whatever the result.
Here we go, so now you have to be a season ticket holder, no longer content with just having to attend games as everblite would have it. Neither you nor I know what his playing budget was, only that he was happy to bleat on about how he could save money within it. As for your statement that those who are despondent should switch their allegiance to the w*nkers in MK obviously has no idea about what a football supporter even is. The football we are having to endure is absolute crap, surely you see that, and those players are clearly not giving 100% so where does that leave us?
