I'll do my best but it's not easy after that shambles this evening.
I think a decision will have to be made before the transfer window opens.
It certainly will

We will have to decide whether to not back KC to the levels required to run a sustainable league one club or whether not to back his replacement financially...
Itís a tricky one I agree......

Please donít knock me for the negativity just yet.
Please wait until the end of the jan window when we were
A) very close
B) got them in the building for talks
C) failed to secure our top targets

Get back to me then and we can discuss things  Wink

OK, but I think A) B) and C) will all apply as always for all lower league clubs.
Let's just hope D) signed our next pick quality targets.  Has happened!
or E) new owners/investors have arrived Wink
Of course if KC has been replaced many of the targets will have changed

Some people like to accept mediocrity when that is the norm and they believe Curle is the right man for the job. Curle is a one dimensional manager without the necessary know how to get us out of this situation. Whilst he managed to get us promoted by bullying Cheltenham and Exeter, he has come up well short against teams who are able to play football. If last season had got to it's natural conclusion, we would have finished in the bottom 10. He said we would evolve our playing style but to me that is called progression and at the moment we are going from bad to worse, not evolving.

i wonder if the dressing room lock in resulted in a few players telling Curle where he is going wrong in life rather than the other way around .
Would like to know what Holmes and Adams say to the style of football we are playing .
Nice experience for Dyche as well . I am not sure we will be seeing him again too soon .

Bolger will be back from suspension, Sheehan is "not too far away".....so that will be it for Dyche for a while anyway you'd think.....

Harriman is an absolute liability in a back 4, he has been at fault for the last 2 or 3 goals we have conceded.

Dyche didn't do too badly, but Sheehan and Bolger are both becoming key players for us, so I think you're right. These two and McWilliams will definitely make us stronger at the back, but we've got to find a way of creating more up front.

We need to have people in and around Ricky Holmes to help exploit his talent. Surely this means at least one out-and-out winger. Playing wing-backs against better teams than us doesn't work - they become defenders and can't get up the pitch because we never have possession for more than a few seconds. This leaves Smith and Holmes isolated and usually too far from each other to help each other out. No wonder we're not creating anything.

Exactly right Madrid, but itís not just against the better sides in this League, itís happening against the sides we should be able compete against. I fear the real pastings are yet to come!

If Curle looks to completely change the style from now on and more importantly we keep pace with everyone who is 1 point above us (5 teams!) then I'm willing to stick with Curle...

If Curle  ......

He wonít, our best chance is that brings in two/three players better than we have got. This will enable his system to play better and slightly more watchable

Harriman has been terrible for the majority of the season. Not convinced he can handle this level at all and that is a shame as he was excellent last year.

I have left it until now to comment but yes last night was bad. We have now failed to score in half of our 18 games but you cannot criticise the strikers when they are getting minimal sevice as we continue to create so few chances.
KC never uses the fact that so many players were unavailable due to suspensions or injury and always says it it an opportunity for others to stake a claim. We are able to defend as we showed against Fleetwood but last night we had only 1 of our regular centre backs available, a 17 year old we had throw in at the deep end and Hoskins pressed into service at full back. I was surprised we reached half time without conceding.
Among others last night we were without Bolger, Sheehan, Mills, McWilliams and Nuttall most of which would command a place in the starting 11.
I notice our regular moning minnies have been working overtime stating the manager should f off and aiming expletives at certain players. Some don't confine this to the management and players but aim the same offensive comments at the radio team, other board members and any individual mentioned by another board member. However, they rarely offer anything constructive and some are not even season ticket holders which shows a certain lack of allegiance to the club. If they are so upset why do they not form their own consortium and do something about it or travel a few miles to watch nice tippy tappy football at MK and they would not need to moan about the facilities.
We have a much changed squad from last season and we could not have stopped most of the players that left. Goode and Wharton wanted to play at a higher level, we could not get Morley back ( who some did not want when he signed), Oliver chose to go to Gillingham and Turnbull and Williams cannot get into the starting 11 of their respective division 2 teams.
Clearly with his budget limitations KC was not able to persuade certain players to join us and so we have what we have. KC has not had the luxury of the budget of some former managers who splashed the cash on the likes of van Veen and Crooks but that did not work out well.
If we changed manager he would still have the same players and probably little room to manouvre in the january transfer window. It is not easy moving players on who are in contract and most new managers want to change half of the team. It did not work when we sacked Page, Edingburgh or JFH so why expect anything different this time.
Calling for Holmes and Sheehan to take over is quite ridiculous and a certain poster seems to have inside knowledge of how much of his budget KC has spent, perhaps he can enlighten us to how he knows this. KC has stated he has acompetitive budget but he is unlikely to say otherwise.
Our bubble will be attending the Lincoln game SUPPORTING whoever is representing our club on the day as it is futile getting on the players backs. They are division 1 players are are prone to making mistakes as players do higher up the ladder. As we are creating so few chances we will not go expecting to be enthralled by the entertainment served up but providing those selected give 100% on the day we will leave happy whatever the result.

Yes, we all know that anything so radical will not happen. But you said 'he won't' to the suggestion that we keep within one point of those above us so what's your suggestion? Presumably, that we get relegated and we all accept that forever more we can aspire to nothing better than a division 4 future (or worse).

I agree completely that board members, the radio team and the players should not be criticised so much, but should be supported, as for the most part we are all on the same side.

I believe/hope that if KC could recruit to the quality of Wharton, Morton and (even) Oliver we may do well enough to stay up and make the pattern of play more attractive to the Fancy Dans'? The 'won't was aimed at change of system nothing elso.

The one issue as youíve alluded to with changing manager is that Kelvin gets to choose the next one and that is rightly a concern as his track record isnít good with us. Thereís no excuse for keeping a failing manager on though and Iím sure youíll agree with that too.

My bubble will also be there on Saturday ďSUPPORTING whoever is representing our club on the dayĒ. Doesnít make our views about the current situation any less relevant than yours. Iím hoping that the right action is taken before Saturday and Keith is relieved of his duties as thatíll make it a much happier atmosphere for all at the game.

Even Radio Oxford expressed sympathy for both Smith (trying upfront with no service) and Holmes.
Were competing well and taking the game to them for much of the first half...then Curle gets involved at half time!  Roll Eyes

Have the Cobblers had an even remotely competitive second half this season? Genuine question!

As for it being too late to change manager and a complete personnel change...just take a look at what Cotteril is doing at Shrewsbury. No change of personnel!
