Thank you.
It has only been opened up to those watching on TV (iFollow) since we have been prevented from attending by the current crisis as stated here (which I posted at the start of the season);
"To qualify to cast your one vote per match, you either need to have been at the game (obviously difficult at the moment) or watched it 'LIVE' on TV, on iFollow (for our overseas members, season ticket holders or paying on a game by game basis whilst that option remains) or if we have a game broadcast on one of the regular UK terrestrial/subscription channels. A bit of Integrity is required here.
If you believe that none of the players deserve your vote, you do have the option of voting for our unofficial sponsor: Clare Balding..."Prior to that, it was only for those who watched it live at the game, unless the game was/is live on terrestrial/pay TV (not illegal streaming) which would be notified in advance.
The only exceptions were people like Doc Feelgood and Melly, who are overseas, but also watch the games live on iFollow.
Integrity of voting is key but there is very little opportunity to fully monitor and control, aside from a couple who have inadvertantly given themselves away.
Personally, I have only voted once this season, for the FA Cup match that was live on BT Sport, because I do not subscribe to iFollow.
I haven't noticed your votes?
It's not a big issue but I prefer not to vote after watching a game on tv as you dont get the full picture. It's often a player's work when he's not in the midst of the action that would earn him merit towards man of that match. This would not be noticed on tv.
It seems to me the usual suspects are going to vote Balding to show how angry they are with the current situation rather than because none of the players deserve any credit.
I've only been to the Lincoln game lately and was intending to vote for Hoskins as the only starter that didn't give up in the second half. I might have forgotten though.
Thanks for all your work organising this.
