The pitch is in the worst state it's ever been in and was much mentioned on the Sunderland forum's match thread. Personally I'm embarrassed by it as it makes us look tinpot, especially after having a pitch like a carpet and winning multiple Groundsman of The Year awards for it over the years, but the reality is that's how Curle wants it because it suits our agricultural style and makes it harder for better teams to get their game going on it.
So I think he's going to continue churning it up by training on it everyday. It must break the groundsman's heart...

Someone should have complemented the management triumvirate for their tactic per the Q&A session and seen how they react.

Did anyone watching on ifollow remember when Radio Northampton lost the connection to the commentators and some guy was doing the commentary from the studio? I don't know what game he was watching but it bore no resemblance to what was happening on the field.

It was Jake Sharpe, yes there was a massive delay from what he was seeing to what we were seeing or the other way round  Grin

Yeah he said “there’s 5 mins to go” and it was in the 81st minute.

When the increasing number of adverts come on the ifollow coverage I continue to listen to the excellent Radio Northampton coverage on the radio instead of the laptop, then it illustrates the delay in transmission.

I quite like Steve Phillips for the occasional match, but prefer to hear Sammo, Benji, Smithy, or one of the other Cobblers great when we are lucky enough to have them.

Must admit that he got a bit annoying and repetitive at times yesterday and does get some things wrong, but good value most of the time. More tolerant of him as well because he has always been one of my favourite Cobblers players. I agree that Sammo and Smithy are better radio pundits though.

We were all round the TV via iFollow protesting at the ref as he went over the 3min added time when a lady walked into the room saying 'well they got a draw'. All the tension disappeared!
