Next week we're recording a special Q&A with Kelvin Thomas, James Whiting and Keith Curle and we need your questions. See the press release from ntfc.co.uk below for how to get your question to us. Northampton Town are staging a season ticket holders forum next week working with the 'It's All Cobblers To Me' podcast. It is not possible, with Covid-19 restrictions, for this to be an open forum event but we hope that by going virtual and teaming up with the podcast we will be able to increase participation. Season ticket holders are invited to submit their questions by emailing itsallcobblers@gmail.com or tweeting @CobblersToMe (alternatively, send us a private message on here) with a closing date of Saturday (January 2nd) and a panel of Chairman Kelvin Thomas, Chief Executive James Whiting and manager Keith Curle will answer the questions selected by the podcast team in a hour long recording that will be released as a podcast and also via the club’s social media channels for supporters to listen to.

Without predicting what may, or may not, be divulged by KC/KT/JW next week, at least they are prepared to stick their necks above the parapet. Will be hoping for any positives. Happy New Year all.

Make sure to get your questions into us for this. Deadline is tomorrow. Not a season ticket holder? Don't worry, we have no way of checking

Thanks for the reminder :-) Is this going to be a virtual-type call that anyone can join? e.g. a Zoom thing? Or is it pre-recorded for folks to watch later?

Hi Rich, It's pre-recorded and will be put out as a podcast at a later date - when I've polished it up. The club will also be putting it out via their website and social media channels.

Out of interest, what was the most popular question?
Completion of the east stand?

That and the value of season tickets this year/plans to compensate reward season ticket holders for their support.

I like what you did there......so rather than refund it will be reward? Are we talking cheaper tickets next season, or are we talking match worn shirts for everyone?

Apparently the names of all the season ticket holders are going in a hat and the first name pulled out will be the manager next season. The rest are being given high-viz jackets and a spade.

Just listening to the pod and I feel a bit sorry for Charles and the team with some of the questions/answers that they had to put to the panel - for example when KC was challenged about the style of play being boring he came out fighting and asked if there was a difference in style from last season (it was rhetorical - he thinks there isn’t). I think it was Danny who, on the spot, had no option but to agree but I think it’s pretty clear that we might have started out trying to play how we did in the playoffs but with vastly inferior players it hasn’t worked.

I keep repeating. KC is not a hoof ball merchant. He is simply adopting a style of play that is likely to get the best results out of his current players. People say 'yeah but he brought them in', and my response is the same each and every time...he took over a team 'playing football' that was facing a battle to stay in the football league. Within 20 months we'd been promoted. We then lost all of our best players, and had to replace them with ones on less money. Less money usually means less quality. He's since picked up Sheehan, and when he plays we definitely 'mix it up' more. KC's plan has always been to evolve the style of play, but he's been working with one and a half arms tied behind his back. Its almost as if people want a manager like Austin to come back in, get Bolger and Horsfall 'playing from the back (or replace them with expensive stylish centre backs that we actually cant afford) and go back down again! Because if we did try and play tippy tappy we'd definitely be relegated in my opinion. This post isn't aimed at you mate, by the way. Just adding to your point made! '

Morning all. For those who haven't heard it yet, you can listen to it on our website here: IACTM NTFC Fans Forum. You can also find us on Apple Podcasts,
and all other podcast apps by either clicking those words or searching It's All Cobblers To Me inside your chosen app. I have added time stamps for when certain questions are asked or topics are talked about with the names of the question asker next to them. If you don't see your name it is most likely that your question was similar to someone else's that we used instead. You may also find that your question gets answered in relation to another question or topic. There were a couple of questions that we didn't get to but I have forwarded them to the football club to see if I can get an answer to them and when we do, we'll read them out on the podcast. Now there's an incentive to subscribe (for free!) if ever I heard one It was a pleasure to work with the club on bringing this to you all and whilst I'm sure our opinion on the answers won't match everyone else's, we are all extremely proud to be a part of bringing the fanbase and the football club closer together. Thanks for your continued support. Charles, Danny, Chessie and Neil
