I think BAS has been ok, couple of lay offs and a little unfortunate with the couple runs, don’t think the pitch is helping. McWilliams playing well as is Watson and Rose.

Quite, too much ambling around ball watching, straight swap with Holmes? Have to say Nicky Adams has gone awol? Rose is putting in a shift and Sheehan helps with the shape but McWilliams for me is the big difference for us? Lloyd Cole is causing a bit of commotion as well?

Rose
Sheehan
Holmes
Marshall
McWilliams

Are our best players and should all be on pitch together.

Looking like a team again now.
Is Alan Sheehan the coolest player to wear claret since Keith Welch?

How has Jones gone nine months without any playing time and come back to us a better player than the one that left? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining!

We  were so unlucky in that game. We were bloody brilliant. It was a long, long drive back to London after the game. Got home at 5.30 had 2 hours sleep and then went to work.
Our driver sparked up the coach, with a couple of minutes to go, and moved it towards the away end. Thinking this is the end of the game. Not so. I can only assume that he activated his tacho whilst doing so, as we had to stop for an hour at Watford Gap. So near and yet....
Back to the previous game at Bolton, Bayo being subbed, with a big white bandage around his head. Serenaded by us singing "theres only one pint of Guiness". Harmless fun, and he waved at us with a smile.

I hate to be negative but here we go again! Horsfall for Sheehan, if he’s not injured we’ve just handed the initiative straight to them.

All of a sudden we are sitting 5 or 10 yards deeper and are inviting pressure. If there was solid reasoning behind it then fair enough but I have no idea what it could be? After the hammerings we have had of late a result of some sort is crucial.

To be fair he's only in the stands today, doesn't officially take over until Monday. Got a big job to do, of that there's no doubt!

Other scores....well obviously Oxford are winning, Bristol Rovers lead Blackpool, Plymouth lead and Wimbledon drawing. We've slipped a place down to 20th....three points ahead of Rochdale but they will have three games in hand.

Steve Phillips every time the goalkeeper comfortably collects a backpass outside the area:
