I agree Melly that circumstances conspired against KC but feel that it was time for him to go because it showed that even with all his experience the pressure was getting to him. Having lost some of the main pieces of last years jigsaw (sorry!) he tried to implement a new style of play during the earlier games of the season. With the ball on the grass more often and more passes played people such as Korboa looked a useful signing Warburton fitted in and Marshall was a threat. However after one or two promising performances, results like the one at Portsmouth seemed to frighten KC into reverting to type and bypass the midfield. Unfortunately this cautious approach failed to bring results and our goal difference still suffered because we were not scoring. If KC had held his nerve with his early season approach we may be in a slightly better position than we currently find ourselves, we'll never know. The combination of very few victories and even fewer goals, has left us in a position which is not terminal but threatens our survival in league 1, so a change had to be made. So now we move on, good luck to The Jon Brady Trio or whoever comes next. UTC.

Wonder what KC will be doing with himself today? Sitting at home doing a jigsaw puzzle as likely as not?
