They took the freekick about 10 yards further back than where it was "earned", and by the time the ball reaches the original position of the foul almost everyone including Marshall who had initially remonstrated with the ref, is back in play and running. The only player who was not was Lewington, their player who won the foul who is still on the ground so I don't know how much of an advantage they gained there.
The ball is out wide and in an attempt to stop the cross Morris makes a half hearted jump and turns his back on the ball (again), the ball goes into the area and we can see Watson, Horsfall and Kioso standing motionless in our area with none of them having tracked the run of Charlie Brown.
Clutching at straws to say a moving ball cost us the game!!

The goal should have been disallowed on the grounds that it was scored by a team that have no right to exist at all, end of!

Taking a quick free kick 'in the vicinity' is acceptable unless the official says otherwise beforehand, especially when it's not for a direct shot on goal.
Not according to Law 13 in the FA Rules book which states "All free kicks are taken from the place where the offence occurred" unless I've missed it somewhere

The simple reality they are a fully signed up EFL Clubs so what we think hardly matters. Am still smarting at that defeat but don't agree with some of the things said retrospectively.
