You can blame him for not bringing on our biggest goal threat on until the 88th minute.

Says it all really when Smith is actually a better option than any of the so called strikers we've got left. Tonight we were at home in a game we really had to win and we were effectively playing one up front and although we had two so called wingers playing I don't recall either of them putting a decent cross in all night. The only decent cross was put in by Edmonson who should have been the one in the box getting on the end of it, don't know why Oglethorpe kept bigging him up 'cos that was about all he did all night apart from missing yet another or 2 very good chances. I agree with Melly, try Watson up front, or even Horsefall!!! Couldn't be any worse, certainly scored more goals than Edmonson, not hard. I think "The Brady Bunch" blew their big chance tonight, admittedly not helped by the players, but not helped, again, by the substitutions, I mean Sowerby. WTF.

But we haven't got "a goal threat", have we??

Most bizarre moment was when around the 88th minute when Edmondson called for the ball in the box, Kioso delivered a near perfect ball and he just stopped dead and made no effort to connect with it. That was *the* chance. The game had late 1-0 winner written all over it, but our players didn't read the script apparently.
That was it. Maybe if Rose had been on? Rico made a career of hanging on the far post cleaning up chances like that. The ball was begging to be put away. I even think Kioso looked surprised at how good it was and why no one was there for it.

OMG, was that supposed to be league 1 football with league 1 footballers?
KT promised some league one players in Jan, somethings never change, 1. me moaning 2. KT mega overpromising and underdelivering again and again
Can someone, anyone, please explain how the best tactic for creating chances and scoring goals when u have a throw-in half way in their half, is to throw it backwards to the full-back, who passes it back further to the centre-half, who then proceeds to hoof it back up the pitch, to a point further back from where we started with the throw-in?
That team / performance /management has to be the worst we have ever had in league 1 - thanks a lot Kelvin, great football club you have developed. You get handed a SECOND lucky promotion and this time you manage to f... it up even quicker, learning absolutely nothing from before.
While I'm on, why have we not redeveloped the running track area as a training / development area? oh no that would be to progressive for little old Northampton
KT couldn’t give a fcuk about NTFC that’s pretty obvious. It’s pretty special to get promoted twice and get relegated the next season.

12 months ago nobody seriously expected us to get promoted, we simply were an average league 2 side.
We just got lucky with Callum Morton.
There is a huge gulf in goal expectancy between Morton and Edmundson. If you swapped Morton for Edmundson into this side we would probably win more than lose. That's the problem with loan players, get a good one and you start to believe your a better team than you really are, and confidence breeds success. But at the end of the season you have to hand them back and you're back to square one. It's probably better from a team perspective to try and nurture your own young talent. Given enough game time maybe we could have developed Chuka, Dyche and Roberts into half decent players.

You at least try two forwards in a must win game for more than 2 minutes. This was every bit as bad as Curle management.

I don't understand why he withdrew Marshall and then moved Edmondson to the right wing.

Agree but just as bad for me was only playing 1 up 1st half with the wind and constantly hoofing it forward, or trying to play fancy cross field balls in swirly strong wind, on a slippery pitch to players who ain't really footballers. or a management team happy to let players constantly, time and time again slice the ball out for a throw-in, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

You can see why both teams are at the wrong end of the table the longer the game went on the worse we got and Rochdale could not convert either of the 2 gift wrapped opportunies in the first half when our defense left 2 players unmarked at the far post. I think more of our passes went out of play than found a team mate. My understanding of playing the ball around at the back was for us to then progress through the midfield but we usually ended up lumping it forward aimlessly, so we might as well have played it long straight away. Not much creativity again and we turned over possession far too easily. I was surprised that we had a new player called Kiosko. If you cannot take maximum points from any of those teams around you it does not bode well. Perhaps we will surprise everbody with wins at Hull, Peterborough, Doncaster and Charlton and then maintain our division 1 status with a last day victory at Sunderland. Oh well we can but dream.

I assume like the rest of us Brady is trying to figure out what Edmondson actually is...

I think he's lost the plot already, after only 4 games. Paul Cook in.

Well, the post seems sarcastic, but that first point seems like it's pretty sensible and obvious? Miller was never going to play 90, he'd only played 20 minutes in the match before.

If this had been an external appointment and this is what had happened there would be uproar. Don't be clouded by sentiment.

Don't know what all that technical data bollocks is all about, but it's certainly not down to luck. It's down to not having any decent strikers at the club and half the time not being able to kick the ball accurately.

Lots of huffing and puffing on here from various Captain Clueless candidates but i haven’t read one comment that suggests anything sensible done anything differently . Players didn’t take their chances - not the manager’s fault . He has changed the formation ; he has installed confidence and belief ; he has enabled the team to create chances ; he has played largely entertaining football ; he has played round pegs in round holes ; he has picked sides most would agree with ..., Ok maybe the 4 goal this season man Rose should have come on earlier and seen if he could do what he has failed to do since he got here or tonight might have been the night Chuck showed what his dad thinks is brilliant about him .... but i doubt it . Let’s hear one suggestion from keyboard Peps that would have changed things beyond doubt . Or maybe i won’t wait up after all
