He's doing a great job here. For all the speculation surrounding Hoskins. For me, Brady is the most likely target at the moment.

Agree with that Tel, a lot of clubs looking for new management, how Rooney is still at Birmingham is beyond me.

How they even wanted him in the first place is beyond me.

Good players don't automatically make good managers as we have found out to our cost several times over the years. Lampard is another and what has JFH done since we sacked him?

If he does go I’m putting it down to the Brady Out thread, I’ve already got my blame list prepared and keyboard at the ready.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Jon Brady pulls level with Colin Calderwood when we play Oxford United as it will be his 153rd game in charge. Only 11 people will have managed more games for the Cobblers. He wont catch any of the others though until next season as Jack English is on 193.
|
Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!
We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

How good have the last three years been with JB at the wheel? He's over achieved massively, with a limited budget... Nice football, team unity, sell out games. And that 'feel good factor' not known since 2016 (yes, 8 years ago already!) Long(er) may he reign...

JFH is currently coaching for the England national team. Along with Page and Boothroyd, it seems that crap former Cobblers managers, are needed at international level.

I wonder if it worth a little flutter on JB leading Australia at the next World Cup.

I remember when Dave Bowen managed Wales and the Cobblers at the same time. Don't think that would work these days but Brady for Australia manger is not a bad shout.

It's been an incredible three years, I think it's possibly the best three seasons in a row since I've been supporting The Cobblers. The players have all looked like they want to play for Brady, the fans and the football club plus having two loan players that care just as much has been an absolute joy. And seeing the North, East and West stands at Sixfields full is amazing. This season I've brought my 8 year old daughter to 5 or 6 games plus Cambridge away. She's been fully invested while watching the matches, has a shirt and already looking forward to next season. She's definitly the only Cobbler at her school

Unless things have changed for him, I dont think he is going anywhere. He didnt want to manage again because of the stress and impact to him home life (especially for a man with his passion). His main reasons for taking this job was his love for the county, and peer pressure from his mates. When he is no longer first team manager he will be DOF or involved with the academy or community etc. Maybe even become a director. He is a cobbler for life. With the exception being Australia national team or Newcastle. No not that one.

I don't know the guy (apart from what we see) but doesn't give me the impression that he is a 'career' manager, as in bouncing around clubs. He kinda fell into the job and seems to have a real affinity with the area. I am sure he has a job for life with the club in some capacity, unless he has a proper fall out with someone. I can't recall a similar Cobblers managerial figure in my life time and would be refreshing if we actually held onto a manager for 5-10 years. Who knows, this could've been Sammo? It certainly removes a lot of upheaval you see with a new manager, which (for us) inevitably ends in tears. It is too easy to be critical of some decisions that managers make but I am sure he works incredibly hard in difficult circumstances and a fair amount of pressure...in relative terms. I think he has done a fantastic job so far.

I love the bloke. I just hope that when we hit an inevitable sticky patch in the future that people are of stout heart and remember everything he's done rather than going full knee jerk and calling for his head.
He's proved he's a good manager, we need to remember that when we hit some tough times because so far we've only really had good times under Jon!!
(Yes, I know technically we got relegated under him but that was pretty much a done deal by the time he took over and the final day heartbreak 2 years ago just made last year all the sweeter)

He was going to Charlton, the clubs couldn’t agree compensation and they went for Appleton. FACT.
