I've been told by someone who genuinely does know
He wasn't even contacted about the Charlton job and if he had been he'd have turned it down

All I know is he he wasn't on any betting lists for the Charlton job. Not even 33/1 - 50/1 range. So on that basis Id say it was VERY unlikely!

I know where you're coming from. Scarlett Johansson has never begged me for sex but if she did, I'd turn her down.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!
We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

There you go, Marvo is a man of principle. It's The Mighty Cobblers or no one at all. He doesn't go on about the Blues (Scottish or London versions) or any other "second" team.

I love the bloke. I just hope that when we hit an inevitable sticky patch in the future that people are of stout heart and remember everything he's done rather than going full knee jerk and calling for his head.
Is now the time to revive the Brady Out thread? I don't recall huge support for it's sentiment and then we went on a bit of a run anyway. Anybody fancy a bit of "I told you so" or even an apology and video evidence of eating humble pie.

Are you still known as Sir Lancelot, and is that why you are so busy? I wondered what the "keep it up, keep it up" bit was about?

Lol, only to my friends I believe. I'm told 'No thanks I'm too busy' is the single best pick up line a man can use when punching well above his weight. Sense of humour from recipient is required. Keep it up, keep it up, is a corruption of 'pick it up'. The Binley Oak was early home to the Two Tone movement. There's my secrets gone, gonna have to re generate now.

Wanted to bring this thread back. Reason? He gets booked a lot doesn't he? Is it a bad thing? Is it a little embarrassing, or does it not really matter? I know he wears his heart on his sleeve and I realise that more managers get booked these days overall because of the 4th official being at close quarters. Would it not benefit the team more if he stepped back a bit and took a breathe?

Think its the same as everything it comes down to balance. I would say he just about gets it right in that his frustrations are to defend his team (i.e last minute s*** penalty decisions) and not shouting at the players (although does that if needed). As a fan and as a player I would much prefer someone who is involved and passionate than someone who just sits in their seat for 90 mins. I also think that with the coaching staff, it doesnt have as big of an impact when he has to watch from the stands and there is an argument thats a better position as can see more.

When I used to sit in the West there was nothing better than watching the opposition manager getting worked up and booked whilst his team was losing, and I don't imagine it's any different now at Sixfields or any other ground, and Brady does seem to get more than his fair share. Oh, and sitting in the stand has always been an option, you don't need to wait until you get told to by the ref.

I agree it's all part of the "panto" of it isn't it? Everyone loves a villain.. In my opinion, contentious decisions, bad fouls, terrible refs and the odd dirty player have always been part of it.

Sets a bad example for the younger generation that’s for sure… but he’s not alone!
