I am deeply shcoked and saddened by the events that have taken place this week in Cumbria and I hate to even think what the relatives of the dead are going through. However I have been reading everywhere about episodes of soaps being re-written (ok in relation to the Bradford murders) and other programmes cancelled due to similarities. A Radio 4 programmes has been slammed for airing a stroy, Lady Ga Ga has been slammed for a performance. The world can't just stop because of what has happened, things have to go on as normal. It is not right that broadcasters and individuals be berrated for something that bares a similarity that I would imagine is pure accidental and coincidental.

I actually agree with you - In my opinion if it is not fit for broadcast now following this terrible tragedy then it was never fit for broadcast - events should not change that view.
Having said that if every programme was removed with gun violence and shootings we would prob be back to having just 3 channels.
