Same team as Tuesday I imagine, Read somewhere Morris is ineligible which isn’t a big problem. Still think Marshall needs to be in the first 11.

Better late than never (I hope) here is your preview for the meeting with Pompey.
Portsmouth are our visitors on Saturday with us looking to build on our excellent result against Plymouth in midweek. Pompey sit 5th in the table after a stuttering run which has seen them win just three of their last 10 games. They do however possess a decent away record with 9 wins in their 14 league games so far this season, they have only tasted defeat at Blackpool, Bristol Rovers and Doncaster. The latter two of those have come in their last three games, a 3-1 reverse at the Keepmoat on Tuesday night has raised concerns about their current form and has seen them slip 5 points behind 2nd place Hull albeit with two games in hand.
Top scorer for them needs little introduction to Cobblers fans, John Marquis has helped himself to 15 goals this season, 13 of them in the League. He has appeared in all 31 of their league games to date. Marquis scored six goals for the Cobblers in the Wilder League 2 winning season back in 2016 whilst on loan from Millwall. A move to Doncaster saw the most prolific spell of his career as he scored 67 goals in 152 appearances before making the move to the South Coast in the summer of 2019. Since then he's bagged 29 goals for the Blues. Also in the top scorers list are two midfielders, Roman Curtis has 10 goals to his name and Marcus Harness has 8 in all competitions. Craig MacGillivray (goalkeeper), Sean Raggett (Defender) and Tom Naylor (midfielder) have started every League game for Pompey this season.
Back to Cobblers connections, other than Marquis they have Michael Jacobs in their squad. He moved from crisis hit Wigan in the summer but has suffered with injuries this season. A knee ligament injury was overcome but he has missed the last few games with a hamstring injury, however it is thought he could make a return to the bench when they visit us. He has managed just nine league starts for Pompey this season. Jacobs, now 29 was with us from 2009 progressing though the youth ranks to make exactly 100 appearances for us in league and cup, finding the net 15 times including famously at Anfield in our Cup win there over 10 years ago. Moves followed to Derby, Wolves and via a loan spell at Blackpool to Wigan. Also in their squad is reserve goalkeeper Lewis Ward who joined Pompey on loan from Exeter in January. He is yet to make an appearance for the Fratton Park side, he made five Cup appearances for us in 2018 whilst on loan from Reading. In our ranks we have Bryn Morris who is currently on loan from Pompey, I assume he won't be playing tomorrow due to the terms of his loan arrangement.
Head-to-Head between the two sides sees them having a healthy lead over us with 20 wins to our 10 and seven drawn games over the years. We have six wins at home as do they with three draws. The last league meeting at Sixfields back in September 2017 saw us run out 3-1 winners with Chris Long scoring twice and Matt Crooks grabbing the other goal. They did win at Sixfields back in 2015 though, that was the last defeat before we went on our 31 game unbeaten League run. A late Connor Chaplin goal gave them the points, we levelled that out though as a late James Collins goal gave us the win at their place on the last day of that unforgettable season. Earlier this season we were less successful going down 4-0 in the League, Marquis scoring twice. That's their fourth consecutive win over us in all competitions and all came at Fratton Park, two in the league and two in the EFL Trophy.
Andy Haines is the appointed referee for this game, he has given out 3 red cards and 52 yellows in his 22 games this season, although 10 of those yellows were in one game between Barrow and Leyton Orient. He was in charge of our visit to Rochdale back in November, a game which saw him only issue one caution, Jack Sowerby being the only name to go in the book. He did visit Sixfields twice last season, for a draw against Crawley and a win over Grimsby. Sandwiched between those two was his last Portsmouth assignment, he oversaw their 2-1 win at Doncaster. The Tyne and Wear based official is in his 14th season on the League list.

We are actually the form team going into this game as we have 5 points from the last 5 games as opposed to Portsmouth's 4. The same is true for both of the next 2 opponents as Charlton and Doncaster both have only 4 points from their last 5 games. Maybe we are playing these teams at a good time. We will probably need to score tomorrow to get anything from this game as Portsmouth have only failed to score in 2 of their 14 away games. They have kept 6 clean sheets.

Don't see a lot of goals in it, i'd take a 1-1 here.

I'd take your hand off if offered a draw of any scoreline today. I don't fancy our chances of anything more, but we live in hope!

On the plus side, a lot of Portsmouth fans have got opinions on Jackett similar to Ipswich fan's views on Lambert, so perhaps we can look forward to a similar performance from them and not how they were in the other leg.

would love to go to this game .... Full house, good atmosphere , a feel good vibe around our team , manager and players positive , a few beers , a crack with your mates ..... Instead , i’m weeding with the good lady wife and listening to Tim on the radio .... Defence and keeper need to be on top form today but i have a good feeling we are on the up ...

Good luck with that - I've just done our garden and it's bloody freezing when you are sitting there not moving much. I've been back inside for about 15 minutes and can still barely feel my hands!

Unchanged lineup for today..... Chukwuemeka for Morris on the bench as Bryn is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Mitchell Kioso, Jones (L), Horsfall, Mills Sowerby, McWilliams, Watson Hoskins, Edmondson, Miller
Subs: Arnold, Harriman, Jones (A), Korboa, Rose, Chukwuemeka, Marshall
Four changes for Pompey and it looks like they are going 4-3-3 with Marquis leading the line....no Jacobs on the bench though.

My wife had merrily been using the phrase "Netflix and chill" on Facebook for some time before our then-14 year old daughter explained to her it was a euphemism.
