This week I was speaking to one of the players under Dean Austin, who still has dealings with the club now, and he said there is a BIG difference. DA did not seek the job and  drifted into the role as manager, where Jon Brady has negotiated his structure and has the enthusiasm and skills to drive the team forward!

I am glad we have not gone down the journeyman (ie had a previous failure!) manager route. It is a different  way that is worth a try.

Let us all get behind the Brady Bunch and enjoy the journey.

Time will tell. I hope you’re right. Up the Cobblers.

A lot of sentimental nonsense on here. If he doesn’t get results this plan will collapse like a pack of cards and a proven manager will arrive with his way of doing things.

I hope he’s massively successful but I take this new plan with a pinch of salt. There’s a certain style of play that gets you out of league two and I’m not sure that’s the style they have in mind

Btw.. he didn’t manage one away win. His record against the teams around us were really poor, had they been better we survive. I’m amazed nobody seems to realise this, just looking favourably at him because he’s local and speaks well.

Just an opinion, hope I’m completely wrong

For me Melly sums it up well as usual.

I can understand the scepticism of a few but at the very least there appears to be a real effort to look beyond the short term, something which seems to have been driven by Brady himself.

Agree with your penultimate para. Yes there is a fair amount of blind love in by a few on here. The recriminations may be startling!

I am happy with the appointment and with the staffing structure.

I hope we have a steady continued improvement with the playing side of the club and now it is up to KT to achieve agreement with West Northamptonshire Council and give the long suffering Cobblers fans some tangible expansion of the Stadium,THIS year!

I prefer a competitive squad for me the East Stand can wait a little longer!

Mr Brady strikes me as a man who wears his heart on his sleeve, if it all starts to go wrong I’m not sure he’s mentally strong enough to ride it out.
He will either be very successful or be gone by Christmas, I hope it’s the former.

Totally agree with all of this. People questioning the timing of the appointment, but it's probably preferable to do it prior to a last day spanking at Sunderland (hope I'm wrong Grin). Either way, I wish JB all the best and really want him to succeed, but the fact remains that we should of had enough to survive in League 1. It has been the **** poor performances against those teams scrapping around us which has relegated us. This, combined with some strange decisions, and the fact we have been woeful away from home, all leaves me with serious doubts. Happy to be proven wrong.

I must admit I agree with the 'heart on sleeve' statement. He didn't like the criticism on social media, so not sure how he'd handle a packed Sixfields if we lose a few on the trot.

What position has Sammo been offered in all of this?

His old position.

His old position.
Last 20 games in charge: W7, D9, L4.
One of the most unjust sackings in our history I would have thought?

Lloyd Jones was uncomfortable when asked if he'll be here next season. Obviously wants away and will only stay if nothing better comes up.
