So the weathers s***, nil points in ESC again and June, as always, will be a quiet month for our much anticipated transfer news so ....
A wee fact and question to keep us going (you’re welcome!):
The irony of our season of striking failure is that in season 20/21 there were ex Cobblers strikers in all 4 professional English leagues top 10 goal scorers list. In fact 2 in Div 1! When was the last time that happened - if ever?

"My three children were born in Northamptonshire so I like to think I'm an adopted Northamptonian and it's the same for Rico and Sammo. It means a lot to us because this is our county.

Alas we do get the occasional good player, but then we either play them out of position, or have 10 headless donkeys in the team.. If we get someone who is good, ie Marquis, we let them go, as the owners are too short sighted and not wanting to invest in a ‘team’ who can supply the goals for the strikers.. We always seems to have a ‘hole’ somewhere in the team, ie goalie, defence etc which allows the opposition chances to score, so we always play with 1 or both hands tied behind our backs, unable to play freely and score like the Carr/Wilder teams of the past!! Hopefully the new structure is thinking long term, not the quick fix options we always seem to do/afford
