I like Southgate, I really do. But FFS - leaving a teenager to take the final kick is criminal. I'm also not sure it's right to bring on two players that late on where they've had absolutely no chance to settle into the game before taking a spot kick under massive pressure.

Southgate of all people should know better.

I’m not sure about subs taking penalties, it’s easy with hindsight this time to say it was a bad decision, but I would be interested to know statistically the overall figures for this tactic.

For me where he got it wrong was the lack of substitutions and tactical changes in the second half when Italy were completely dominating.

Not sure about same old England, more like same old whinging fans, suspect the ones moaning about England losing their first final in 55 years, are the same type of fans who constantly moan about their own club. They live off of any type of imperfection, feeding off it, just waiting for any failure just so they can pounce the minute it happens, their own lives, houses, jobs must be so perfect, that any type of failure  outside of their own bubble is just not  acceptable to them.

I had Shaw at 26-1, anytime scorer. My 50p covered my bets and a bit more... Cool

Well. Take the lead first half. Sit back for the whole of the second half, concede a goal then lose on penalties. Sound familiar? Huh?

Don't know, you tell me how many times that has exactly happened ? You're the expert in complaining.

Ok. It probably hasn’t happened regularly in that order but the outcome and general pattern of the game
has been about the same and ultimately we fail to win a tournament, again. Not complaining, just pointing out the facts. Anyway, only a few weeks ‘til the proper football starts and I can start “complaining” about that.

I see UEFA has opened disciplinary action on England over the Euro final, I guess we can safely say that any small chance the country had of hosting a World Cup in the foreseeable future has gone. A proportion of fans again proving what complete scum they are and a utter embarrassment to the country.
