Coming from the south of the County, within ear shot of Silverstone, this is superb news for all those connected and especially local businesses.

James Hunt will be whizzing round in front of a full house, 140k fans in this year.

Hmm... try top fuel drag racing. Yeah you can feel the ground shaking, but the races last about five seconds. And Santa Pod aint the most salubrious of places. And one impact with the barrier suspends racing for the day. I went for a part of a mates stag do, but Im in no rush to return. The other part of the stag was in Berlin, but thats a long story.

OK I'll give you that one and any trip to Berlin is a long story.

Agreed. Good for local business is my point and some return to normality and why I've not watched since James Hunt!

I used to sell magic mushrooms, usually Mexican or Colombian over long weekends at Santa Pod from an old 56 seater converted Leyland bus. When Bug Jam was on I would sell them around the campsite and if anyone wanted more I would say I'm in the bus. As every VW camper is referred to as bus by the enthusiasts, they would ask "which bus man?" when I pointed out the real bus which was easily visible over the little vans, "Oh THE bus!"

Cool man. See you later!

Brilliant day out, not a mask in sight, bloody good job really considering how sunny it was. Was nice to get out in the crowds again and mingling with people, long may it continue, only down side to the day was the knob winning the race.

Even ignoring the potential dangers of large crowds, I’ve actually enjoyed the person space that COVID has brought as there are far to many people out there with bad hygiene or habits. As for the race about time Max got his comeuppance, for years he’s made dangerous moves and relied on everyone else bailing out.

Absolutely. So good to see Lewis hit back on his own track.

Everybody has their own views I suppose, I've never really been a big fan of Max, but with Bottas on his way and his performance being restricted,  I'm all for Max winning the Championship this year. Really can't stand Hamilton at all.

I love to see England do well at any sport even though I’m not really into most of them. Each to their own of course, but for me, motor racing, Yaaaaawn.

There have been many crowd tests at sports events, cricket, Wimbledon I think had spectators testing and there doesn't appear to have been anything posted results wise? Probably the results were tolerable and why all the grounds are full now?

The only cases counted at Silverstone were Champagne. Pop! Piper-Heidsieck has to my favourite shampoo, same as e's one is never enough!
