No we couldn’t, I hope he sees out his career playing for the Cobblers, but if the opportunity arose for him he would be silly not to take it

Money is not always everything 😎

So there we have the end of the season, few stats to look out for next season...

10 games off reaching the top 3 league appearances alongside Gleasure, 22 games off 400 overall games and will reach Gleasure's 412 if he plays 34 games next year.

He's 10 goals off 100 overall, 6 behind Frank Large. If he could get 19 next year he would reach the top 3 of all time.

- Little mention for McWilliams who reached 200 league games yesterday, and overtaking Mike Everitt overall in recent weeks.

Hoskins has clearly pisśed Brady off, and wasn’t even in the match day squared with any luck we will sell him to a L2 club and sign a footballer.

Even if we did sell him he would clearly stay in league 1 at worst.

Are you serious? Should every father be given the day off for their son's second birthday?

Yes, so they can take them to the match as a birthday treat, there by ensuring a new generation of Cobblers supporters. Almost like a birthright.

Worked for my two, although I all fairness, they were three, not two.

This is true.

A strange decision by JB but I guess a nice way of rewarding someone for their commitment.

I think he’s having another kid, but hope he enjoyed his first horns 2nd birthday.

Fcuk me that’s why he’s been playing so badly, it’s pulled all the strength out of him.

The top goal scorer for NTFC, two seasons running and you want rid of him? Do you wear clown shoes by any chance?

So some years down the line we could see young Sam in the claret and white and then his expected daughter in the ladies team.

If Sam was out of contract there would be a veritable scrum for his services. 15 league goals in 38 League One appearances in 2023/24 tells it's own story (on top of 50 league goals in the last three seasons often playing as a box to box midfielder rather than an attacking midfielder as of now). He also provides cover for the defence and assists for others.

Why on earth would we consistently offer him new and better contracts and why would so many ex-managers speak so highly of him? Over the last seven seasons he's only missed 28 league games (an average of 4 a season).
