It’s no real surprise with the start they have had, just shows how lucky he was with us, truly terrible football “entrainment” bad enough when you win but lose and it’s unbearable. # every dog has his day.

Keith Curle is having a shocker, BUT, the bigger issue here and reason for protests, is the idiot owner, not Keith Curle's gung ho, win at any cost tactics... Actually, why didn't we think of tennis balls?

Actually, why didn't we think of tennis balls? You get arrested and banned for chucking things on the pitch, unless youre Hungarian.. Although to balance it up, during the Andorra game, there was a lot of paper planes being chucked. Back in the early 2003 I went to see England v Liechtenstein at Old Trafford. Every seat had a pamphlet on it. Heavy duty, magazine quality. Perfect paper dart material. F ucking lethal they were. If one hit the ad hoarding, the noise would echo throughout the stand. If you were a steward and didnt end up in first aid, you were lucky.

Curle would have shut up shop at Agincourt to be fair! England 1 (Archer 5) France 1 (Rain, pen 87) Curle brings off Archer after 30 mins!

Good reminder Melly The negative ones won’t want to know about that success and how it was attained! Both victories were the result of positive management on the day. Duff was hopeless on the day!

To be fair to Curle, I don't think he's an entirely bad manager. He's just a very stubborn and predictable one. He wants to play in a very particular (albeit unattractive) style and on its day that style works well.
I don't know what he put in their tea during the playoff campaign, but whatever it was on those days his gameplan worked to perfection. We played brilliant ugly football and it was great. We steamrollered both Cheltenham and Exeter. They didn't know what had hit them.
I think adrenaline was a big factor though and the players all exerted themselves to the max of their ability. It's impossible to maintain those levels over a season though, especially when you lose the core of the team, and as a result last year really exposed his limitations.

For me the biggest factor, was our style and strengths meant that we had a huge advantage in that match fitness and sharpness weren't so vital. remember the play-off were done at short notice and a long lay-off. It was exactly the same reason Wycombe triumphed too

Very strange comments? It was purely good tactics on the day orchestrated by Curle with our star players playing well!! Wycombe were simply the better side on the day! Wycombe were also in the running for automatic promotion for long periods of that season!
