Huh??

There’s more hope of that than you being elected to the cobblers board Tony  Grin
In fairness Tony it was a decent result.(still no goals from the strikers though)
Good luck if you decide to run for the board position.
Fair play for putting yourself forward
Respect for that.

I’m sticking to my guns and won’t attend matches until the redevelopments finished.
Be honest , did you think I’d still be waiting to come back after three seasons??

By the time I return I may have forgotten how to get to the stadium Grin

Can't deny that Salford were good value for at least a point, but a frustrating and preventable goal to see the extra points slide.

I have to say apart from the first 20 minutes I wasn't hugely impressed with us today - we were poor on the ball and didn't really do anything in the second half apart from score a goal. But we're difficult to beat and the players work very hard for each other and that should absolutely be the positives to take out, as well as the fact we were nowhere near our best and still nearly won.

Good atmosphere in the away end today, but that was the strangest home atmosphere I've ever encountered. You couldn't even really hear the Salford fans celebrate when they scored and the closest thing to a chant from them arrived in the 95th minute after the equaliser. Still, I've ticked it off the 92 now.

Good to read an accurate report no bias at all. Also it was good to see a mention of the terrace away end, nearly full too. In many ways they ensured they kept the ‘boys’ at it and their celebrations after our second goal was worth the admission alone. Individually Salford had some good players, fortunately for us our defence was better than theirs as at times it was our defence against their Fwds and Midfield. As Fez rightly suggests with a bit more bravery/confidence going fwd undoubtedly we would have gained all the points! Team spirit gained us the single point. Worth it though.

Possibly, but then we didn’t close down the cross, Roberts could have come and punched away but didn’t, and the Koiki was beaten to the ball….plenty of chances to stop the goal.

We’d been warned earlier when another cross from that side was missed and bounced off the base of the post.
On the highlights it looks like the ball for their second goal comes from a long way out and the header was from no more than six yards. Could Roberts have come for it?

Really good atmosphere in away end. Team wasn't worth more than a point. A good spirit in group but very pragmatic. Feels more like Calderwood's team than Brady's . I guess we need to let them grow but it does feel like there's no quality further up the pitch. Been there before but stay positive !!!!!

Disappointed that we threw that away as that was a very winnable game. That said, we weren’t at our best and probably would concede that they deserved a point.

Salford can be thankful that we brought our singing voices because that was the weirdest atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Not even a noise for a last minute leveller. They won’t last in the league for long, there isn’t any appetite for it. And on that basis, I’m thrilled.

Winnable game next week too get us going again so we have to go and bounce back.

A gate of 2,037 including 677 Cobblers supporters is damning.

The whole set up is strange!! To only attract 1360 home fans on a Saturday is pretty poor...yet despite this they can afford to only charge Ł15 admission, can subsidise their away travel coaches (Ł7.50 to Walsall, Ł15 to Colchester for example) and can bring in players, pay good wages, have a known name manager and just got themselves a new head of physical performance from Plymouth.

undoubtably the next Rushden And Diamonds ( sorry JB ) .
Built on sand and they will soon get fed up with no success after paying double the going rate for players .
We are work in progress but we are going to have to be braver .
As i have said before , we rely on our luxury wide players to come off and they simply have not .
Connolly is an impact player and Pinnock and Hoskins need to up their game .

Was speaking to one salford fan ( an oldham fan in 60s but changed to salford :s), he says the board are trying to move to sale rugby club.  They can't build any further on that ground because of the location.

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09112699/officers

I'm not great at navigation through the companies house website, but I think this is where the main accounts are for Salford City. If so, they have lost around 3.5million a year for each of the last two years, which is to be expected, given their obviously ginormous wage and transfer outlays, and the fact that they probably generate very little income from the gates and sponsorship!

What is absolutely clear is that there is no chance of them ever being able to generate a sustainable football club/business model from it all, and the higher up the ladder they go the more that loss will be trying to compete with rival clubs.

Still, they've got the money and good reputations at stake (the directors) so they will most probably be around for a fair bit longer!

I wondered if that was the reason for the late kickoff….waiting for ‘The Class of 92’ to turn up.

What are the rules?

Their losses make us look like ameteurs.

The trust will be pleased, their owners are putting the money in as share equity rather than loans.

Roy Keane was at the game. Maybe, looking at his future job when they sack Bowyer.

They are the epitome of a tinpot club. 1360 home supporters and their match thread totalled a whole 11 posts.
