I don’t think that the BBC can be held accountable for his “alleged” behaviour no matter how disgusting and reprehensible that behaviour might be! It’s a live case and I’m saying nothing else, the police have issued warnings about social media posts regarding this case! 🤫

However much of a "disgusting organisation" you may think they are, I'm not sure they've "churned out" dozens of paedophiles. There have certainly been a few that have been convicted or found out, that have happened to have worked for them, but I don't think they knowingly "churned them out".

Tralfamadore. Well the Wikipedia article mentions maybe 5 or 6, which, while bad enough, is hardly the dozens you suggested. I didn't even bother with the express article.🤔

We know about these creatures because they were caught, maybe somebody within the BBC should be congratulated for blowing the whistle? By the way, judging by the dates of those articles you may need to update your browser?

In fairness knowledge about some of the conduct was known throughout the organisation. That suggests corporate culpability, if any other organisation were failing to disclose to that extent they would be held accountable.

Regarding the BBC, having more than its fair share may or may not be true, however they are at the top of their game when it comes to internal enquirys and cover ups. And the one who cannot be named, his cover was blown by his wife. I have no sympathy whatsoever, for people who indulge in these sordid practises, and are stupid enough to take photos and show them to others.

Tabby, this one you have talked about for a while, is it out in the open now because of his wife? Or one that is still to be revealed, as the "big" one. If it is still to come, would it be bigger than Saville?

My source was a journalist, who so far has been correct in all that he said. The "big one" would shock a lot of people, but the level of severity is nowhere near what Savile got up to. This person does like the attention of teenage boys though, and is another one who likes to take photos and pass them on to others. Everybody carries a camera these days, and if you take images of illegal activities then you will ultimately get caught out. Years ago, in our pub football team, our goalkeeper always seemed a bit flamboyant, but we didnt think anything of it. Years later he got caught grooming a teenage boy, and spent a couple of years inside. After his release, he was at it again, only this time he showed some images to his new boyfriend, who quite rightly called the police. Back inside he went, for a further four years. Camera phones are the scourge of todays society. People whip them out and point them, for the slightest of reasons. And rarely is it for their own use, they have to show it to someone else. I have seen people on trains, or in the pub, absolutely desperate to show anybody their latest picture arrival, even if its something mundane or boring. They just cant stop themselves. Theres websites out there that will cater for everybodys requirements, but if you contribute additions, then you will get caught. And rightly so.

Jesus, what’s your threshold of paedos in an organisation? The BBC is rotten to the core, left wing propaganda militia.

I never really understand the right's myopic hatred of the BBC - sure they have been guilty of cover ups and ignoring clear warnings but not unlike like numerous other media outlets (take that wanker on GB news) - regarding the bias, there are numerous significant players within the BBC who clearly have right of centre leanings take Andrew Marr and Laura Kuenssberg for example. The BBC also produce some incredible drama and documentaries as well as providing quality advert free quality radio - believe me, living in Europe these are the envy of the world regarding their quality. Where I do agree with you is the mandatory nature of the licence fee which definitely needs a major review.

I don't trust/read too much online but normally believe what is reported on the BBC.
I flicked on FB this morning and their was the name 'of the 17 year old' who carried out the abhorrent attack yesterday. Only when you click on the person who posted it on some group that you saw the tattoo's on his face and St George cross on his profile. I need to sort my algorithms out! Believe nothing!

Yeah, there seems to be a name doing the rounds that doesn't fit with what the police are saying and it's pretty sick that there are people out there who are prepared to take advantage of such a tragic situation to help propagate their own twisted agenda.
Going slightly off topic on this, I've found the whole Southport thing quite upsetting. I dropped my own seven year old daughter at a holiday club this morning and there was a tiny, irrational part of me that didn't want to leave her there. She loves Taylor Swift and if that event had been near us then that's exactly the sort of thing we'd have booked her onto, so it's easy to empathise with those poor parents and kids. It might be at the other end of the country, but it feels pretty close to home.

Absolutely...kids/grown up kids/no kids, that must have shocked the nation yesterday, so upsetting and difficult to comprehend. I have no idea what the answer is and dread to think the percentage of teenagers carrying a weapon these days, regardless of whether they intend to use it. Two in a few days in town. It's all very well when it is reported it is 'targeted' or 'isolated' and we don't know the story from yesterday but the perception is that these incidents are on the rise.

I was merely pointing out your slight exaggeration due to your irrational hatred of the BBC. I've told you a million times; Don't exaggerate.

Similarly the Army Officer stabbing last week that was "not terrorism related".
