Savile would take some beating. Just one more? P.S. I tend not to take too much notice of some of the BS online. Look what they did to national treasure Sir Cliff. Fox isn’t renouned for his balanced commentary. The key word there is groomer. And you are correct in your assumption. Fox is not balanced, but maybe he talks to other journalists, who may used to drink in the King Billy a couple of years ago. And I rarely give much credence to what I read on social media. Unless there maybe some substance to it.

It’s number 1 in the charts as well, if anyone were in the slightest doubt of where the BBC’s political alliance is this is proof.

It appears simultaneously announcing a 50 million spend in Syria has not met with universal approval. There has been a suggestion in some quarters that Sir Keir consistently prioritises the welfare of non uk nationals. So it seems the political choice at the moment is to rob from the poor to give to the rich, or rob from the poor to give to Johnny Foriegner, but I don’t believe it. And you lot spend your time arguing over which one’s best 😂

I wonder how many of those not approving of supporting another country, also disapprove of people from that country coming to the UK to escape the problems in that other country. I wonder if stability and prosperity in your home country would be a deciding factor in staying there or even wanting to return home. I wonder how we could assist with that? Some might wonder if we should assist with that.

Personally I think most people would like to assist with everything, just depends what you want to prioritise and whether that decision is justifiable in the eyes of the majority.

It just depends on where you draw the line. I personally do not approve of foreign aid being sent to China or India, as both counties have nuclear arms and a space exploration programme. And still allow some of their citizens to live in absolute third world poverty.

Charity begins at home. Put your own house in order first. Two very old sayings that still ring true today.

That’s a conclusive poll and irrefutable proof straight from the horses mouth then, restore the fuel allowance and other stuff will have to wait. You can’t argue with democracy, unless you’re a politician obviously.

The dreadful EU tried to even up Europe by pouring billions of our euros into Eastern Europe countries only for them to do a few vanity projects and pocket the rest.

Yes, we should have converted to Euros whilst we had the chance. Might have still been in the EU if that was the case.

Completely agree - whilst some of our more extreme friends don‘t understand there are a raft of reasons why foreign aid is important for both humanitarian and longer term economic benefits, the destinations for some of this aid seems bizarre and you quote two perfect examples. Perhaps it is available but I think there should be more transparency on where our foreign aid goes but more importantly why.
