Shìt draw. A game against a side we're pretty much sick of the sight of over the years and who are likely to beat us. Zero excitement from that one!

I would have thought that was winnable at home, they are lower mid-table League1

We'll probably get Pompey away for the next round... Roll Eyes

Saw the friendly and we looked quite comfortable still they have done better than I anticipated In L1 so it might be a a hard fought game!

Only potential excitement comes if they travel well!  But yep, rubbish draw.

What would have constituted a good draw

Any non league team home or away, any team at home that we haven't played often, Sunderland or Pompey away, Oxford or MK where there's a bit of local rivalry... I know Cambridge are geographically local but there's no real depth of feeling there from a rivalry point of view.

Oh, so basically any team that has the potential to cause an upset against us or any team we very rarely beat?

Hopefully a tasty encounter with a healthy crowd and decent away following to liven things up. Home advantage hopefully helps as it would be nice to progress and dare to dream of a bumper third round draw away to probably the lowest ranked team left in the cup whilst every team we resent get a mega away draw again.

I’m off to Washington Square for a beer and see if Cambridge turn up.

That's not a bad draw. Local opposition that should bring a fair few fans. One of Calderwood's former clubs. A good test for us. Has the makings of a decent cup tie.

My first thoughts were "a decent draw" should get a good crowd, but thinking back over the last few years, we've struggled to get much over 3,000  in the FA Cup. I know the media and the FA have allowed the cup to be downgraded but that doesn't explain why some "regular" fans don't go to cup games. Is it having to go to purchase a ticket ? the price of the ticket or what ?
What do you think the ticket price should be ?
