Second half display was promotion form and how! Tranmere outplayed 2nd half. Ete led them a merry dance in 2nd half.

That second half performance was outstanding. That's set the standard now. Can see FGR running away with it but no one else in this league has been consistent and there are two automatic spots up for grabs.

Listened to it in Radio Numpty and we sounded totally in control. What a fantastic week - well done to HB and all. Now let’s press on and establish ourselves in the top 3. Carlisle at home and Brizzle away are both very winnable. A good afternoon - the Cobbs have managed to expunge the picture I had burnt into my brain of Manny French kissing the Iron Lady!

Great 2nd half performance and could have run out easy winners. 19 shots away from home with 6 on target, Trannies 0 on target out of 5. I doubt Roberts will get another 3 consecutive matches without having to produce a real save as the defence was again quite comfortable. Another assist from Pinnock and McGowan put in some good balls from the other side. Well taken goal by Etete and after scoring 2 in 2 let's hope it gives him the confidence to now go on a run. Sam now suspended for the Carlisle game but as it was only a matter of time before he got his 5th yellow perhaps it's not a bad game for him to be missing as Carlisle are in pretty poor form. McWilliams still needs to avoid another yellow in the next 5 games. Must get my lucky underpants ready for next week.

I didn't particularly expect that, mainly because of Tranmere's excellent defensive record. We may or may not continue the great form and run of results over the last 8 days, but whether we do or not I'm so pleased for the Brady bunch and hope they have done enough to stay in place and give us much needed continuity into the future.

Didn't expect a win today, but to win in the manor we did, was very impressive.
Playing a formation that works & a settled team is working wonders...Great work from JB & his staff.
So the exciting Connelly for Hoskins, hopefully the only change next week then, with the same intensity please!

Got to get this off my hairy chest. I’ve lost my hair, which at 60 isn’t too big a deal. However I’m subjected to regular jibes about the lack of flowing locks. Between you and me I’m quite upset. How many times has a folically challenged linesman been called a bald c when he makes an error? We need a voice, we need a campaign to stamp this out!! I’m so cross, we need a voice and a strong campaign against baldism. I’m not a marketing type, but I say something catchy is needed Bald Lives Matter!
I remember you with and without mate. Unless you were intending to grow your fringe to cover your face it ain’t made any difference. On a separate note what an effing win. Woke up early and reached for my phone, absolutely gagging for ifollow to put up the full game.

First time I have seen the Cobblers live since Covid. An outstanding team performance and the pressing of the opposition particularly in the 2nd half was very impressive and Tranmere were shot to pieces in the 2nd half and could easily have lost the game 4 nil. Etete was outstanding and the defence superb, two areas of the pitch greatly improved since Jon Brady took over. The match stats show how dominant the Cobblers were in today's game and blow out of the water Micky Mellon's attempt to use the Ref as the reason his team lost today whilst totally ignoring the gamesmanship tactics of his players particularly Clarke and Spearing who were constantly in the ref's ear.

Impressed (again) with JB's post match interview... We've had to put up with some nonsense since the 'Wilder' days... So refreshing to have an articulate manager who truly cares (again)...

A pat on the back to all of us who advocated a long term strategy with JB forming a management team, a glimpse of the future emerging?
That was an impressive second half performance, as good as I have seen from us in a long time I'm still a little bit stunned, I was out of my seat as JB promised.
A question for the tacticians, was that us playing well, Tranmere playing badly or somewhere in between?

Where is Carton Lid when you need him? THAT was the worst Refereeing performance that I have seen in a long long time...

If Mellon's interview is anything to go by, it was all Tranmere playing badly. Absolutely no acknowledgement of his side being soundly beaten by the better team. Oh, and the ref was appalling too, in his opinion.

Absolutely superb - well done lads . We seem to have all players now firing on all cylinders at last . Did Hoskins play more centrally in this game ? It looked it on the highlights and he is more effective there in my view . Would like Pollock not connolly replace him next week .

Listening to the radio it sounded a pretty assured performance, in control for most of the time and probably should have scored more. Martin Smith has always seemed a good judge and he seemed impressed. So that's 3 assured performances in a row - plus we should have won at Hartlepool. Bit worried about proclaiming a new dawn and all that, but things are looking distinctly promising. Kion finding his shooting boots is obviously a great help, as is Pinnock playing to his potential. Playing the same defence for a spell has enabled them to tighten up, and Roberts clearly likes a clean sheet. Before getting excited however, one has to remember that this is the Cobblers and consistency has rarely been an NTFC virtue!
