First couple of comments so funny.
I agree with both freedom of speech but then (some) people think it’s ok to insult people on the web/internet which I agree is totally out of order.
Exactly - nail on head and as I've said freedom of speech is very important but with it comes both responsibility and hopefully accountability hence my stance - not for everyone and I'm certainly not preaching .

Some of the comments on Twitter particularly on Political Figures are made by in what seems to be an inexhaustible list of Nutters, Musicians and displaced Women? The recent Scottish debate on Nicola Sturgeon and her Trans Equality is a good example.

True story. I got ‘pulled up’ at work for using the term ‘banksman’ in a PowerPoint presentation by a female in the office. I’m pretty down with the kids and choose my language and terminology carefully, avoiding things like ‘guys’ etc. It was no biggy and I responded by saying the person I was referring to was a man. She replied saying that I had assumed his preferred pronouns and gender identity…at which point I hit delete. We have a 50 page HR document of dos and don’ts, things like not using capital letters in title slides, avoiding certain colours etc. The bottom line is that people can find offence pretty much anywhere these days.

They will keep pushing for a vote in Scotland repeatedly until they get the result they want. Should this happen I don’t hold out much hope for them subsequently offering another vote to see if people have changed their mind and want to change back again at any point. This is about individual preference and motive and sod all to do with majority opinion. They had their way with the vote and lost, get over it or offer as many opportunities to reverse the decision as was offered to change it in the first place over the same time frame. What are the chances of Sturgeon agreeing to that little scenario? That would tell you everything you need to know about the real value Sturgeon has for Scottish peoples opinion. Having Scottish family I’m entitled to comment before Sturgeons fans knickers get in a twist

Mrs Cranky is like a petulant child lying on the floor screaming and banging her fists until things go her way. Something tells me with her latest stupidity it is going to against her.

Totally agree, I look at the way things from the olden days get censored these days like they didn't happen and think it's a shame. Perhaps showing people the way things used to be in the olden days would help them understand how things can be better, making out they didn't happen isn't the answer.
