500...can you count??? I guessed at 210..turns out was 288, of which the ones I spoke to came from Wellingborough and hadn't set foot in Carlisle in three years!

The point is which by and large ignored by all you mathematicos
is the poor attendance following decent run. Is it the stadium, prices or even Hoskins not available?

General apathy amongst the near quarter of a million people in the town,  the majority of whom aren't bothered in the slightest in their local team for local people and would rather nail their colours to a different mast Huh? The shıt ground doesn't help either.

Saints at home to Leicester would have knocked a few off. End of Half term, maybe people away, not so many school groups/ teams? Not exciting opponents? All possible factors.

Quite right, when I told someone I was going to the Cobblers on Saturday rather than the Saints, I got a sympathetic smile and "we don't do football very well in Northampton, do we?"

After the game friends and relatives gave me a condescending "well done" along with their surprise bordering on amazement that we had won (again).

This is what we are up against, I seem to have a social circle of mainly Liverpool fans along with 'followers' of Chelsea, man U and Arsenal. All of these watch 'Their' team live once in a blue moon at most, if at all.

Believe me there are quite a few grounds in Div 2 no better than ours. Morecombe, Oxford 3 sided, Cambridge, Stanley, Pompey, Luton, Exeter - away end), Harrogate, Cheltenham, Sutton etc. At Pompey you have to wade thru’ urine just to have a pee! Newport is another piss poor ground.

You do know that many of the teams u list are not in L2?

Most of the teams were non-league 10 years ago, and sorry you prefer Sixfields to the established league clubs, Luton, Oxford and Portsmouth?

Its been a great October for the team and JB, perhaps fans will start getting interested when we have been in the top 3 for a month or two.

You're not Simon Inglis are you by any chance? Without looking it up, at which English football league club was the first cantilever stand constructed?

Just because others in the current street you live in drive clapped out bangers it doesn't mean you must drive one yourself.
