The 60s kit looks like any kit from the past 2 or 3 seasons if you ask me. I like the 80s one and that would be my choice of the 4. Should have for the 97/98 rather than the season before, far superior shirt.
Edit - the 2nd Lotto '98 one. Not the pro star thing

I like the 86/87 kit, but is it me or is the claret too dark in the new versions?? The earlier kits look a lighter claret, and to me look better!!

The Two Hoops for me. The kit when I first started going and Liverpool away 2010. Best kit ever, with 96/97 as away kit.

Don’t mean to be awkward but I have always wanted us to play in 62/63, I’ve no idea why? http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Northampton_Town/Northampton_Town.htm

That isn't correct through. The first ever shirt was chocolate (brown) and blue. But we should still have it as the home kit I agree! Think its being worn once this season and 3rd kit next season. (think I read that anyway) http://www.kitclassics.co.uk/kits/Northampton.png

A guy who sits in front of me at Sixfields has looked into this at great depth and he doesn't think the Chocolate & Blue was our first kit. I can't remember what he said was our first kit but I'll ask him again

Speaking of potential repetitions of an error. It has happened before. Lloyd Davies, our eldest player and record international caps while at the club, for many years including those used by the club and in Frank Grande's book, was known as Edwin Lloyd-Davies for a long time before someone found proof on his contract signed for the club and his census record.
(cycling fans will also know of a current cyclist called Pierre Latour who due to a clerical is constantly called Pierre-Roger Latour, so it happens even in todays date ridden times)
