Is it another example of us dominating but having no attacking cutting edge?
Stats seemed to suggest we were the better team in the first half?

Should have finished them off at Sixfields when we were the better team.

Kneejerk reaction to a defeat when playing 4-5-1?

I think he needs Sowerby alongside McWilliams in a 4-5-1 as he doesn't trust anyone else.
Fat lot of good it's done tonight.

3-0 down 20 minutes left and JB doesn’t take Etete or our only fit CM off.

Fingers crossed.

Likely, but Flores or Pollock could have popped in there, players clearly like it and our results with 4-4-2 have been shocking

Does anyone think Connolly adds anything to our team?

Let's hope we win it in 90 minutes as neither team will want extra time. Should we win it would be good to see the Exeter/Bradford replay go all the way. We have an excellent record at Cambridge let's keep it going.

Well I've watched a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining game of football, but that wasn't it.

If anyone feels down, just have a peek on Yellows forum - from page 21 when they go 3-1 up in ET (the arrogance) to the meltdown unfolding as the Gas score three in the final five minutes!  Grin Grin Grin

See you at Bradford!

Marginally a better performance but Guthrie was below par as was Horsfall whose passing was awful. Harriman poor abnf got done for the first goal which led to a sloppy first goal. Excellent save by Roberts but the rebound fell to one of theirs. Again untidy defending. Much learned comment on 4:4:2 but I douubt very much if it affected the result. We had our chances but as a team far below recent the first tie. 700 there this evening very good after Saturday. When McGowan and Pinnock came on things did improve but Ete was well marshalled with Lewis and Rose looked anonymous! The difference this time there was some better performances or at least some improvements generally all round and the team did more or less hold its shape which disappeared last Saturday. Guthrie and Horsfall will have to do better next Saturday!

Completely outclassed by a decent Cambridge side tonight and then patronised all the way home by their radio presenters who seem to think they are some sort of super team .
Torn to shreds time and time again down the wings as they were clinical about everything they did .
Harriman and Connolly were simply nowhere near good enough .
Roberts should have come for the first goal but didn’t and Koiki was also taken to the cleaners .
Up front we lost every battle until Pinnock came on . In what world does connolly get selected above Pinnock exactly ?
Our first eleven is ok and after that we have serious cracks .
