Completely outclassed by a decent Cambridge side tonight and then patronised all the way home by their radio presenters who seem to think they are some sort of super team .
Torn to shreds time and time again down the wings as they were clinical about everything they did .
Harriman and Connolly were simply nowhere near good enough .
Roberts should have come for the first goal but didn’t and Koiki was also taken to the cleaners .
Up front we lost every battle until Pinnock came on . In what world does connolly get selected above Pinnock exactly ?
Our first eleven is ok and after that we have serious cracks .

I didn’t think we were outclassed at least not to the extant we were overrun. Cambridge are a bang ordinary L1 side. Agree about Roberts not coming for the first goal and Koiki who is fast becoming a liability!

Harriman is a truly dreadful defender, as for Connolly he’s was picked from the bargain bucket and should be returned.
Says quite a lot when BAS can’t even get a sniff.

3-0 down 20 minutes left and JB doesn’t take Etete or our only fit CM off.

Fingers crossed.

Is this a criticism of JB  or an astute observation?

you are mistaking bluster snd running around a lot as quality football .
Everything they did was efficient from defending stoutly to moving the ball to hurt us to finishing .
We had lots of crosses and didn’t get on the end of one in the first half . Our full backs were turned over constantly and the wide men were truly awful .
Outclassed is the correct word .

Some interesting post game comments from Bonner. Basically saying the first game was open, Northampton were aggressive playing with one up front, one sitting and wingers in wide positions which seemed to help us overload the box. Whereas playing with a front two seemed to stop that happening, which mirrors the last half hour at Rovers.

Its a shame our management didn't identify this.

He is a good manager , Bonner . He has got a good thing going there and is correct in what he said .
I can’t understand why we changed it to 2 up front . All he had to do was drop Lewis into Sowerby’s role and then play Pollock or even Rose behind Etete . Pinnock should also have started .
Ridiculous really .

Missed last night's match but a Cambridge supporting mate has told me we had a perfectly good goal disallowed when it was 0-0. Is he just winding me up?

The only good thing to about last night was Bradford having the long trip to Exeter and then playing extra time. Mind you we are going to need a vast improvement from the last 2 games to get any points there.

Possibly the biggest criticism I can have of Brady so far during his tenure is that he seems to be overly keen on keeping the more senior players involved, despite the lack of output they have provided and the changes in structure it causes the team.

If we were going to drop Lewis back into CM then surely Pollock could slot into the CAM role, or switch the two around.

There have been several other occasions where the game is seemingly won and instead of bringing on someone who can provide continuity or who we can develop we bring on someone who is as good as they going to be. It seems fairly certain that Connolly, Rose and Kabamba are coming off the bench, but are any going to be better than they are now? It seems like we change shape simply to accommodate the experienced pros.

I can understand it to a degree, needing to keep the experienced ones engaged via game time, but it does feel like a mistake. Its going to be very hard to offload players in January as I am sure everyone will want to do the same. But shipping out a few of the fringe players for either a clear upgrade or to allow some of our youth to be called upon when needed would help us moving forward IMO.

I would rather see the likes of Pollock and Cross feature instead of a journeyman who has proven of little benefit to the club at this time.

Surprised you did not apply for the Managers post with your perceptive, mostly hindsight comments. Your weakness of course is that you only surface when things go wrong. You clearly have a downer on JB so  please give your main reasons for doing so?

Just watched the highlights which, pretty much, confirms what I thought last night. Their number 9, Ironside, was fouling and jumping into defenders all night and only got pulled up a couple of times, watching the first goal, he still has a handful of Kioke's shirt as the ball enters the net. The third goal he just jumps straight into Guthrie not even looking at the ball. The foul on Kabamba near the end on the edge of the box was one of the most obvious fouls you will ever see but he waved "play on"
I thought Drysdale was poor, the amount of time wasting after we scored was laughable but he never said a word to them, I timed one corner kick at 1 minute and 5 seconds from the ball going out to them taking the kick . Also we had a player booked recently for going to the North stand fans after scoring which a lot of the Cam Utd players did after their third but not a word. I know I moan about refs but all I want is a bit of consistency which we very rarely get

Talking about referees Sam Allison who we had at Bristol Rovers and was very poor was at it again last night. He had the Exeter/Bradford game and allowed Exeter to bring on 6 subs instead of the allotted 5, talk of the game maybe having to be replayed.

This is a chronically anti NTFC comment. So much that I wonder if you were actually there  Roll Eyes
Having watched NTFC for many years I generally recognise the difference in the quality on show. For an accurate report of the game please read the Chrons report as it is remarkably free of the bias you display.
