In the AFL the referee turns his back and throws the ball in. I always thought this would be a fantastic addition to our game, especially if a side scored from it.

I don’t think they are worse TBH, still good and bad ones with gar more shîthouse tactics borrowed from our European neighbours. Thank god for Brexit.
Why do you need to politicise every thread. We all know you're a working class tory and what's Brexit got to do with shıt refereeing?

SchlimmbesserungIch wusste nicht, dass du krank bistGoogle said "what a pair of Germanic T@ssers" That's uncalled for. "Schlimmbesserung" means unintentionally making things worse whilst trying to improve things. I think it's relevant to sport today, especially football. I used to like the old Banks' beer ad "unspoilt by progress" ...

I’ll dumb it down for you, all the diving and play acting came from the Italians and then generally all over the European football community, this started in the late 70’s and 80’s and now with the Premiere League importing many European players it’s now here and has filtered down to our level. The reference to Brexit was a joke. You seem to be a bit intellectually challenged so if you don’t understand it’s best that you don’t comment.

It's normally "Verschlimmbesserung", that's why I thought you were sick as "Sclimmbesserung" is sort of "get well soon"

I don't think it helps when some of the refs don't seem to know the rules. For example, if you went to Cambridge you would have seen the Cambridge keeper wearing all yellow and their outfield players also wearing yellow shirts when the rules on kit state "Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from the other players and the match officials" Also I would guess that roughly 30% of throw ins are really foul throws, but how many get given ? So do the officials know the rules of taking a throw in or do they just chose to ignore that particular rule ? I've just watched the Cambridge game, the goalkeeper was wearing yellow and the outfield players were wearing almost an old gold/yellow which was clearly distinguishable from each other. No problem.

It's always been part of the game I don't expect you had a problem with the Trevor Morley dive and penalty against Crewe that clinched promotion in 1987

Another ‘special’ performance from the team in black. There are some big changes needed and refs at least need to answer for some of these crazy decisions/non decisions, other than “I didn’t see it”.

I’m not being funny Tone but he shouldn’t be allowed to officiate another match, someone could have got seriously hurt today.

Completely agree - this is not about the result or even if red cards were issued it’s simply if referees allow in play thuggery then there is going to be more and more with players getting seriously injured - between them the ref, lino on that side and the 4th official should be made to see the incidents and serve a suspension.

If a player goes down with a serious head injury the referee should immediately stop play, yet Boyeson allowed play to continue. Good job it did not result in us conceding a goal. It's a pity we did not have Charles Breakspeare or Trevor Kettle today, I can't believe I have just said that, as they would have had their red cards out in a flash. We won't need to worry about the referee on Tuesday as with Brett Huxtable in charge the game will be refereed by the 4th official.
