NTFC have announced the the Walsall game on Boxing Day has been "Suspended". I thought that to be Suspended it would have had to have been started

I'm hoping they extend the season a bit and play the rearranged games in March/April. I really don't fancy those cold nights in January/February.
Worst case scenario = behind closed doors.

Doesn't look as though they are going to pass anything else this side of Xmas, so it will need to be a Prem/FA decision rather than an enforced one.

Maybe but the so called experts do not see infections peaking until mid Jan so including the 10 day isloation period that would mean a suspension until February. The calendar is already under pressure from the World Cup next year.

So the show goes on*
*subject to players carrying a sniffle.

From a purely selfish perspective, I'm glad it's off! I love boxing day games but would have missed it this year due to family commitments (that I'm less than enthused by) so I was gutted. I'll enjoy myself more now that I'm not missing a game to be there...

If he wants to get on the right side of me he just has to; 1) knock the east stand down and build a replica of the west with sky boxes at the top. 2) buy a couple of decent strikers and a play maker central midfielder. Simples

3) end child poverty 4) solve the climate crisis 5) ensure all can live in harmony with one another A fairly simple and realistic Christmas wish list if he puts his mind to it.

He should start with your list, far more attainable.

I'd delay the World Cup. It's pretty obvious that the variant is going to have a significant effect on the rest of Western Europe, Eastern Europe and South America. Playing professional football behind closed doors just to get the season done and dusted is too artificial to me. Unlike the next World Cup.

Are Kettering playing Brackley boxing day?
Just to add a few hours for anyone wishing to ''get some fresh air'' the wild and wolly is back on this year. Taken from the Northampton MCC website: The Northampton MCC have been busy securing a venue for the 94th running of the Wild and Woolly event which will run on the 26th December 2021. The event was last run in 2018, after the 2019 event had to be cancelled due to land restrictions before Covid-19 stopped the 2020 event from happening. But for 2021 the event will return, and this year’s historic event will take place at a specially adapted version of the Long Buckby National track so expect mud and water as per normal.
