A lot of measures in place; No proof of vaccination. No proof of negative test. Masks not required in Carr's Bar or hospitality areas. Maybe if you could, wear a mask on the concourse - unless you are eating of course. Wash your hands like mother told you after a Jimmy Riddle.
Wonder what Plan C is?

On Saturday with Etete missing there was a number of comments that balls to our forwards were not sticking and Swindon were immediately coming back on the attack. With this in mind should we start with Kabamba against Crawley as when he played at Harrogate he was praised for his hold up play by JB and both players in the post match interviews?.

Wash your own hands on the way in and someone else's on the way out?

Phew that’s a good question, there’s not a lot between them to be honest, the only thing that favours Kabamba is he has a modicum of pace, both don’t score!

He did well at Harrogate.

Modicum of pace? He had the ball to his feet at Harrogate, proceeded to walk towards their keeper and contrived to miss! I'd say the only thing in Kabamba's favour is his song!

Cometh the hour cometh the man = BAS surely more effective than Kabamba and he has scored. What else do you want?

Supposedly, Kabamba needs the ball to his feet. BAS needs to stay on his feet!

We don't have much history with Crawley, just 10 games which surprisingly they have a slightly better record (3 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats). At home we have only 1 win from their 4 visits, with 2 draws and 1 defeat. I think the most memorable thing about our games is the long term injuries to McWilliams, Smith and Mills in the away fixtures. Like us Crawley played for the first time in 3 weeks last Saturday, unlike us the had a comfortable 3-1 victory. They are in a good run of form taking 11 points from their last 6 games with only 1 defeat. Away from home they have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 5 but having taken only 3 points from the first 5 games they have 10 points from the last 5 including winning 2-1 at Leyton Orient in their last away game. In their 10 away games they have scored 11 goals and have scored in all of the last 7. They have conceded 14 but 6 of these was at FGR early in the season so they have only concede 8 in the other 9 games and 1 goal or less in 7 games. We have only drawn 1 at home and Crawley 1 away but we need to return to winning ways with games against FGR and Sutton to follow.

OAP beat me to the punch again......
"Creepy" are having an ok season so far, 14th in the league before Saturday's game, seven points outside the playoffs. They have bounced back from a run of six straight defeats with a run of one defeat in the last six, with two wins and a draw from their last three away games.
John Yems has been in charge since December 2019, this will be his 99th game in charge of the team, 34 wins and 37 defeats thus far.
Kwesi Appiah stands atop their scoring list with nine goals, 8 in the league, which considering he's only made 10 starts is not a bad return. The definition of a "journeyman striker" Soccerbase lists Crawley as his 16th club. Other experienced campaigners are also in the goals, with Jake Hessenthaler in their ranks (3 goals but hasn't played since early December) and Ashley Nadesan (3 goals including both in the win last week over Colchester) Former Exeter and Peterborough frontman Tom Nichols is also in their ranks. They have not made any signings in the window so far.
Slim pickings as far as former Cobblers within their squad list goes..... Mark Marshall joined them in September but has only started one league game so far, he was on the bench last game though.
As has already been said, a limited head to head history with them winning one and drawing two of their four previous visits to Sixfields, our last visit from them was in September 2019 when they came back from 2-0 down to grab a point thanks to a last minute own goal by Joe Martin. The game earlier this season finished goalless.
Declan Bourne is scheduled to ref the game, a second year EFL official it will be his first Sixfields assignment, the only time we have seen him before was in our 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Oxford at the Kassam. Crawley saw him twice last season, for a home win over Exeter and a last day 3-3 draw at Stevenage. He has 59 yellow and 2 reds to his name in 15 games this season.

The 4-2 defeat to Crawley at their old ground was fairly memorable...for the wrong reasons!
Wound down the window and asked some old chap directions to the ground. He duly obliged. Several minutes later, we rocked up at Three Bridges FC!

Crawley are one of those irritating ex-Non league sides that are poorly supported and is one of my least favourite fixtures of the season. Doubt they'll bring many, probably stuck in the East corner which dampens the atmosphere. Got to be getting back to winning ways and prove last weeks horror show at Swindon is a one off.

Tranmere (home to Sc***horpe) and Sutton ( away to Oldham) both have winnable games so we probably need the 3 points to maintain 2nd place.
