Tranmere (home to Sc***horpe) and Sutton ( away to Oldham) both have winnable games so we probably need the 3 points to maintain 2nd place.
Indeed we will, so who thinks the new man will start? For me he’ll continue with the slowest striker in the world Danny Rose, this may give Danny a boost to bag some goals, who knows.

Thank goodness we have Centre Halves and at least one midfielder capable of scoring more than their fair share.
Please don't pick Kabamba.
How many to visit from Crawley - 50 ?

Unfortunately I think you’re probably right he’ll start Rose. Why we haven’t got rid of him yet is beyond me, his signing has been a complete disaster for both the club and him. Surely he should look at what’s happened with Harry Smith and look for another club as it clearly isn’t happening for him here. It would make sense for both parties to move on, why waste another half a season.

I would expect Zimba to be on the bench and be brought on later in the game. I would not be surprised if it was an unchanged starting 11 unless after last week with the ball not sticking up front he may play Kabamba who was praised for his hold up play at Harrogate.

Crawley happy to sit back, and other than quick counters and set pieces we don't have a clue how to attack. Other than McWilliams, the whole midfield 5 have not been at the races today.

Its been a real struggle so far. I know its going to take a little while to get back to certain fitness levels... but still the approach has been pretty lacking. Rose is a likeable guy and is tenacious, but in this system he is simply not effective at all. Spends the whole game trying to win petty fouls and has his hands on his head for something that inevitably was close-ish but didnt happen. Lewis needs to offer more support to him though, its fine having the most distance covered each game but he needs to provide more goal threat. We still desperately need another forward... and in this game at least to start giving them some service.
Our defence is nowhere near as solid now either. Only kept one clean sheet in 8 league games following our real solid run defensively.
Hopefully we can get the ball down a little more, but its no good bringing on Zimba up top on his own, can see him and Kabamba coming on later on and going 442. Come on Teyn!

That enforced break couldn’t have come at a worse time. Let’s hope the loss in form doesn’t end up as a rut. Definitely need some new faces.

Much improved second half, not sure how we didnt score a couple, let alone one. Disappointing loss but we went down swinging thats for sure. We are still relying on the same 14/15 players, definitely need some more fresh faces. Despite his misses at least Zimba showed some threat which was promising and that was probably Connolly's best game for us. Just got to stay amongst the pack now and find our groove again.

Hugely frustrating one.
We dominated against a poor Crawley side and 17 corners tells its own story.
I still feel that our keeper, defence and defensive midfield pivot are all promotion-winning quality. Koiki and McWilliams in particular had very good games today and looked composed.
The problem, as we all know, is what we do up front to replace Etete. Rose hasn't looked remotely like scoring for eons now. It's not even that he's missing chances - it's just that he isn't even getting into the right positions in this system.
I think Kabamba is probably our best bet as the lone front man until Brady signs a proper Etete replacement. Zimba looked quick and at least got in the right positions - like Etete, it will take time for him to acclimatise to the rough and tumble of L2 and he looks like an off-the-bench option for now rather than a contender to come straight in as first choice striker. Thought Connolly did well off the bench with his pace.
It's all about who Brady signs in the window now though. Sign a proper targetman and I'd still be confident of promotion; leave things as they are and I can see things potentially slipping away from us.
