As predicted on loan from Cardiff City. The Steve Morison connection must have helped.

The club have posted a link to a highlights reel.

He looks decent enough there, although as we know good at youth level doesn't always translate to good at professional level.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing him play. My  biggest worry is what the vocal nob head that sits near me is going to call him. He still thinks it's hilarious to yell "Hokey Cokey!" every time Ali Koiki touches the ball....

from a cardiff lad i know..

"raw talent, skillful, quick and in the 23s he had a good scoring rate. He had a couple of first team games against sides  that were possibly too physical for him. Hopefully this will be a good move for him and Northampton. Experience will do him good"

My biggest worry is that he'll only be 20% of the player that Etete is.
Is this the kind of reel that is sent to clubs lookng for a loan player for them to form an opinion on, or just one for the public consumption?
If I were someone looking at this and making a decision on behalf of NTFC about Chankas credentials for leading our line and us towards promotion, I'd discounting any footage with trees in the background.

The clubs has managed to bring in Morton and Kion, nobody raved about ether, most banged the 'let's sign a proven striker' drum, a few, myself included remained open minded.

Fact that Morrison rates him, the clubs recent dealings with strikers from loan market, I'm optimistic.

He's got Pinnock putting them on a 6pence for him, so that's another bonus.

Welcome aboard young man...

Hopefully, has the same impact as Morton/Etete did, rather than what BAS/Kabamba have offered up so far...

Always sceptical of U23 stats as they're no comparison to proper mens L2 football

Still hope someone comes in for Kabamba, BAS or even Rose during this window as we really do need some better quality up top

Although a few of them were Cardiff's training pitch so probably a better surface than most L2 grounds. I take your 'trees in background' and raise you 'goals on wheels'.

Looks handy though. A lot of the goals (only watched a couple of mins I'll be honest) showed good movement and getting on the end of good balls. Something I dont think will apply to his time with us.

Good Luck and make us all forget the name of the bloke from Spurs.

Trees - bit eccentric so why trees? Is the 20% mark better or worse than Rose, BAS and Kabamba. As a cursory observation I thought Simba's thumping header looked good!

Another player for us to develop on behalf of someone else - but that’s where we are right now .
He looks a good prospect and hopefully he will enable us to continue our push for promotion - until he leaves to go somewhere else and we start again .

I'll note that one down.
If you only watched the first couple of minutes you saw all of his goals but missed loads more trees  Wink

Utter rubbish, what about Chesterfield , Peterborough, MK Dons, Luton all buying young talent not loaning it.
There are very few teams in our situation with a Chairman who doesn’t want to be here, even a medium term   strategy would be something, I see the lad at Chesterfield is still banging them in for fun, we could of got him in, got promoted and then sold him for £1-2m+ Making DB a nice little profit and enabling us to buy an adequate replacement but no it’s loans or ridiculous pûnts like the utterly useless BAS.

The header was good Evers, agreed. Not so sure his defender was though?

20% was a worry, but if its anything like that he'll be out BASing BAS.
Rose and Kabamba are solid 70%'s aren't they?

Let's hope he's the next DCL and there's a very good reason why he's got to 20 without leaving a single mark on men's football.
