I still fear Bristol Rovers...... Barton should have them practising a four up front formation all week....nothing to lose, they're still in the playoffs even if they lose which is highly unlikely!
Playing at home to relegated Scunny, who have only won once away from home, have the worst goal difference in the league, have scored the fewest away goals in the league, have conceded the most away goals in the league......I fancy Rovers to score seven or eight!
7 or 8? Really...when was the last time we had that scoreline in a league game? Would you prefer to be in their position or ours going into the last game of the season?

Of course i'd prefer to be in our position.....but if you had to pick a game where you needed to score a shedload to secure promotion then you'd choose Scunny at home! Rovers went gung-ho on Saturday when 3-1 down and won 4-3...they can score goals! Agreed its unlikely that there will be two results that see us staying down on goal difference......biggest League 2 win this season....Harrogate 6 Scunny 1

I share your concerns about Bristol Rovers. They took us apart at their place. Certainly capable of a good win. But, I do think if we win, we’ll be alright. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhh 😱😱😱😱

Well let’s just win 3 nil and then if Rovers can overturn that they’ll deserve to go up.

Shame we lost 1-0 to them recently, I hope we don't rue that result come Saturday evening.

Back in the late Eighties if I remember, Hearts were assured the Scottish Championship unless Celtic scored seven on the final day. The Jam Tarts looked more than distraught as Celtic duly obliged!

Fulham have just pumped Luton 7-0, and Luton were trying to cement their play off spot. You dont know whats going to happen. Scunnys GD is currently -54, and Barrows is -11. We just have to go for it, and hope that everbody has their shooting boots on. Its going to be a tense afternoon.

Difference is, Bristol Rovers aren't already up. 1/ They need to win or draw if we lose. 2/ They need to score 6 or more goals, depending on how many we score if we win. As you say Fulham are relaxed not the same situation for Bristol Rovers, is it?

Wow people can be worriers can't they. The way I look at it if you offered me the set of results today I'd have snapped your hand off. This is exactly what you want football to be. Having watched the Cobblers for 38 years now one thing that is guaranteed is next weekend aint going to be straight forward but it will be entertaining.

Turf Accountants have the Cobblers and BR odds on to win our final games but are much more confident (about 4 times) of a BR win. Not by enough though (if we both win).

We are the only team other than FG who have consistently been in the top 5. We deserve to be there . McGowan is the worry . There is no cover ad he has been excellent all season

Rovers have the easier fixture on paper for sure but we have the edge on GD. I'd rather be in our position than theirs. I wouldn't fancy us having to score 6, 7 or 8. It was back in the early 80's we last scored 7 in a game. Don't know when they last did. We just need to win, no need to go gung-ho.

What's happened to Harriman?
It appears he's not trusted by Brady. He's hardly played this season, even struggling to make the bench in the last couple of games. I would play him and keep the rest of the formation the same but I think JB will go with Hoskins and Koiki as wing backs with Horsfall, Guthrie and Mills in the centre.

I can’t believe anyone is seriously considering Rovers a realistic threat if we win. Their fans will be praying that Barrow nick a point of 3 against us. No one really expected it to still be in our hands after today’s result, so we should revel in that for now. Beating Barrow is certainly not a given and the harder game on paper but you’d have to choose our position every time. Someone do a double on us winning by 1 goal and Rovers winning by 6 or more and see what odds you get.
