if we beat Barrow , we will be up . It’s as simple as that . Mills in a back 3 is a worry though . Will he go Dyche in a 3 or Harriman at RB or stick with Mills ? Kanu is another option

We don’t want to let other teams in, we don’t. 6 points out of 6. We don’t let other teams back in.
We Northampton promoted with Forest Green Rovers, Exeter. 😁😁😁
I was wrong, 4 points will do. Being positive. Let’s go to Barrow get the 3 points, get promoted. 😁😁😁

I wouldn’t mind a bit of our luck at the moment… Fcuking great result.
Can’t believe it. I was soooo low leaving Sixfields to the tones of Exeter’s party yesterday. Makes the long trip to Barrow all the better now….
So was I mate, positive for me. Beat Barrow get promoted.

Perhaps the more interesting odds are to finish third, We are best 4/7 with Bristol Rovers 13/8. Mansfield and Port Vale seem to be out of the running at 25/1 and 40/1 Swindon are hanging on in there at 100/1

agreed....we don't make it easy though do we? Another first half like at Orient will do just fine thanks!!
So why do you fear Rovers? It is upto us to win and score enough in doing so! Perhaps you should be more concerned about us winning let alone scoring!

As long as Bristol don't beat Sc***horpe by 6 (add one more for each goal we score). Personally I would like to see Dyche in a 3 with Koiki and Hoskins making up the 5.

If you want to soften the ultimate disappointment. Stick a tenner on a 1 nil Cobblers win and 6 nil Rovers win, you'll get over £2k back for those scores.
Not for me as I think we'll win by 2 goals and Rovers will probably win by 4. A lot more likely and will only return £57. Top 4 all winning £117.
I think the best bet is Exeter, Cobblers, Rovers winning with FG a draw to return £147.
You don't get many poor bookies.

Looking over Scunny's results 6 times this season they have conceded more than 3 goals in a game, 4x4, 1x5 and 6 at Harrogate. On Tuesday 22nd February they kept a clean sheet now I wonder who that was against. Comparing their 18 man squad for our game against their team last Saturday only 2 of the starting and 2 of the subs were in Saturdays starting 11 with 6 of the starting 11 against us on the subs bench. As has been documented Keith Hill fielded 7 teenagers including the 'keeper perhaps he ought to bring back his experienced players for the Rovers game.

You'd hope they field a "proper" side. Blooding kids in a dead rubber is fine, doing it in a match that has implications for the promotion or relegation shake up shows no respect for the integrity of the competition.

You would hope that but he'll already be thinking about his playing squad for next year so may well use it as a 'friendly' game to test out his youth and fringe players

Does anyone know if there is any update on this;
"Current Football League regulations prohibit teams from fielding weakened sides “unless some satisfactory reason is given” but decided against applying it because there was no definition of what constituted one". The discussion I got this from dates back to 2017.

I think there's an argument that no matter what side scunny put out it's a weakened one.

True! Looking at their website they have sold their allocation for the Bristol game. It could be their last ever game in the league - I'd have thought they'd way to go out with a bang rather than a whimper. Fingers crossed they do!

I notice plenty of Bristol Rovers fans are contacting Barrow to wish them luck for the weekend and asking them for a favour by beating us Maybe we should do the same with Scunny or get a few messages to Jason Taylor once a Cobbler.

Are Bristol Rovers hoping that Phil Brown doesn't use our game to blood his own youngsters for next season as well?

If we don't make it due to the Bristol Rovers game (goals) then I wouldn't blame Sc***horpe.... You manage your own destiny and I can think of plenty of bore draw 0-0's.
One or two of those into 1-0's and we wouldn't need to give a toss about the goal difference on the final day.

There are several games we can point to and say we should have won when we only drew or should have got a draw when we lost but all of the other contenders can do the same. There are also some games when we were a little fortunate to take 3 points.
Changing subject I see that Bristol Rovers v Scunny is being refereed by our old friend Charles Breakspear, about time he done us a favour.

What happens if Scunny fans decide they don't want their time as a league club to come to an end and stage a pitch invasion towards the end that cannot easily be cleared. What are the EFL rules... do the ref and teams have to wait until the pitch is cleared regardless of how long that takes, or can they award the game to Brizzle by a preset, but lower than 6-0 scoreline?

Just get down there with a few mates with drones… Disclaimer: I absolutely do not agree with the use of drones to interfere with a game of football. My comments are completely and utterly meant as a joke, for those of you who have abandoned any sense of football forum banter.
