I'm reluctant to start another thread that will recreate the development one but interested in peoples thoughts. Admin, maybe leave it for a week and then lock it? I've set the poll time to 7 days. I've tried to be as fair as possible with the question and options so hopefully cover most bases.

Surely knocking it down and starting again is everybodys ideal solution but I'm sure KT has said in the past that it just was not financially viable and therefore Option 2 is a non starter.

Voted for item 2 as would prefer some discussion on some of the design features. With discussion on North and South Stands as well. However all construction work would have to be completed by late June 2022.

It was raised in the meeting between the Trust and the council that as things have changed with covid and the industry that it could be viable again as prices have changed. They mentioned a demolition contract that had gone for £1. But that's why I added the time delay bit. Its going to take time to do the investigation and then if they chose to change things delays with the actual construction time as well as the time to change all the plans etc. Is there an appetite for more delays but for something that will potentially be better?

Sorry London, have reread your post and the questions, not trying to be picky. I still just find it incredible that plans could be signed off not just for reduced facilities and capacity but in the knowledge that it would stymie further development. I suppose that, amongst other astonishing happenings, is why we have 1557 pages on the development thread.

The poll says revisiting the proposal and would use that to consider enhancements. Rather than blindly get on with it! If it is revisited and still approved that’s fine by me! Like the Trust Vote on last item! LC you should have asked voters to identify their vote by forum ID?

Lots of people (myself included) share our opinions both for and against but seems to be a lot of members who don't contribute to the discussion (I fully get why!!) but was just curious that's all. I've tried to reflect most of the options from the discussions. Its not going to influence anything

Blimey Evers, can I borrow those builders after they’ve knocked all that up?

I think it was an interesting point. The option doesn't allow for clarity if people who voted for 2 fundamentally don't want the current design, or if they simply want the club to revisit the option and press ahead with the current designs if still not feasible. I would guess the latter though.

Evers builders can build the East Stand quicker than you can say "where's that £10 million quid gone?"

I'm guessing most people would like to see the East Stand demolished and rebuilt as per the artists impressions we were shown years ago, with two tiers of seats and the corporate boxes all across the back. Hopefully the financial practicalities have been fully explored, because while that may be expensive now it would surely increase the potential earnings in the future.
If we can't have our dream of a silk purse lets at least have a very smart pigs ear! Get the bloody thing finished!

If they intend to carry on building it with those seats getting only partial views of the pitch I'd rather they didn't bother.

Can’t we just leave it as it is and just add 800 deckchairs around the perimeter of the pitch?

This puts some ‘colour' to the question the club asked re the development plans and the 97% ‘positive’ response; a good percentage on here are unhappy with the offering on the table. If only Cilldara’s bid included a fit for purpose, two tier structure........

Spot on, KT’s 97% was a binary question entitled do you want the stand finished, it is yet another example of the endless trail of smoke, mirrors and spin, unfortunately I think people can now see through it.

The bit perhaps that makes it not financially viable is to do with the ownership of the steel. I believe there is some deal in place where Buckingham Group still have a hold on proceedings, therefore they technically may still own the framework. Buckingham originally called for CDNL to be wound up but accepted the Company Voluntary agreement which came later, as their 2.9m votes (based n the amount owed) trumped the Councils 900k..... If it (the steel) was "ours" ie the clubs, there is decent value in the current structure and actually ripping it down and selling it could be cost neutral on that basis. The thing is, it will take a lot more than £3m to build us the two tiered exec box laden vision that would be acceptable to everyone.

Whisper it softly, but I actually like the proposed designs. They look neat, tidy and quite smart. Yes, a second tier would have been preferable but that particular bird has long since flown.

They are ok for League 2......can't imagine away fans in that stand underneath the boxes should we need an overspill in future though (League 1)
