Don't forget it's a 2 pm KO for this one. Wonder if Pollock gets his first league start if Sowerby is still unfit

Like others, I hope GPC returns to the fold but have covered tomorrow just in case. We've played this lot a few times since they came up from the non league in 1950. Those games have been played at their place and at our place. We've won a few and they've won a few. Some more have been drawn and a few times we've lost to them and them to us. The ref and the linesmen should be wearing black tomorrow but probably won't. We will wear our home strip unless the players are given the away strip or third strip to put on. They will more than likely use their away strip but might not, in which case it'll be a tactic designed to confuse us. Both keepers will almost certainly have gloves on but will almost certainly not be wearing all green Our manager who is very good most of the time will be brilliant tomorrow if we score. Their manager will be an utter gobs***e from KO as all opposing managers are, and if his team lose he will claim that either us or the ref will have cheated. The East Stand will not have been redeveloped in time for KO but there will be some hot pies and sausage rolls to eat at the ground. If it rains only those in the east stand and those in the first few rows of the north and west will get wet. The South stand will not be in use because they have a s***e support. No snow is forecast but It will still be windy and because we have no one very tall up front Colin will be telling the boys to play it into feet apart from at set pieces when our three tall centre backs will join the line. Mark on the other hand will be telling anyone who listens to get on the back stick. If we win tomorrow we will get a few more points and stay there or thereabouts and most will be happy. If we draw but deserve to lose some will recognise and acknowledge that but most will not and will blame someone for dropping two points. If we lose it will be KT's fault for not repairing the TV's in Carrs bar but if they have been fixed and we still lose it'll mean Baldy hasn't done enough ironing.

Is this going to follow the recent pattern of low scoring games?. There has only been 4 goals in our last 6 games with the defence being excellent in only conceding 1 but we have not scored from open play with our 3 goals coming from set pieces. Colchester have 16 points from their 16 away games, won 4, drawn 4, lost 8, scored 14, conceded 23 and their away form has been very up and down. After taking 9 points from 5 unbeaten games they then only got a single point from the next 7. However their recent form has taken an upturn wit 6 points from the last 4 away with wins at Salford 3-0 and Leyton Orient 1-0 and single goal defeats at promotion contenders Sutton 2-3 and Mansfield 1-2. They have failed to score in 8 of these 16 games but have scored 7 in the last 4 2 times scored more than once. They have kept 5 clean sheets but have conceded more than once in 8 games. Their overall recent form is good with 9 points from the last 6 games and only 1 defeat. With Exeter at home to Barrow we need to win so that they do not move further ahead of us. Also with Tranmere at home to Port Vale and Newport County at home to Mansfield a win would move us further ahead of some of those teams. Hopefully some of our injured players will be back. A bad sign is that Ben Toner is the referee and it has been a while since we won a game with him in charge.

Ver good and best thing is you've now got a template you can pretty much cut and paste for the following home games.

Exeter v Barrow is now off due to the weather. Tranmere v Port Vale is difficult to call - The former have lost their latest two games and the latter (according to other posters - I have nothing to add) are on an unbeaten run but not playing that well.

Bit worried about the amount of injuries in midfield and attack. Hopefully a couple are actually fit and playing although would love to see Pollock finally get some game time. Is this Luke Chambers' Sixfields return?

Does anyone know if there has been any wind damage at Sixfields caused by yesterday's storm?

The club put something on Facebook yesterday saying there had been no damage.

Also in a pre season friendly four or five years ago. I think?

Scott Oldham has replaced Ben Toner in the middle for this afternoon...

We don't appear to do any better with Scott Oldham, we had him for our 0-1 defeat at FGR and last season when we lost at home 0-2 to Burton. Perhaps he will let us score today.

The back pass free kick in the Burton game was a big contribution to our relegation.
