Eppiah has done threatened more in 10 minutes than Rose has all season.

Dreadful, but a point is a point and it moves us up to second. We should have made the change earlier because BAS and Eppiah caused all sorts of problems but just didn't have long enough to capitalise.

Results not been kind tonight. Brizzle and Swindon had a great night. Exeter poised to knick back 2nd with their games in hand. I’m trying to be kind to JB but I really think the selection was bollocks tonight. It would have been a totally different game with Pollock - centre mid, Pinnock - out wide, Benny and Josh up front from the start. Danny Rose is not good enough to be in the squad let alone the 11. We’re not good enough to play our most creative player out of position. 2 points thrown away tonight JB and the form of the chasing pack is worrying!

Disapointing - but another point nevertheless. No real urgency till BAS and Eppiah came on - and very nearly got it at the end. We are not going to win every game and there will be upsets - but very much on track. Have seen the Cobblers lose in similar circumstances many a time. Liam Roberts record is approaching epic proportions - anyone know the clean sheets record for a Cobblers goalie?

Best chance we've ever had of winning at Glanford Park considering form and league positions and it's safe to say we blew it. Be it poor team selection, or poor individual performances, ie Guthrie, Koiki, Pinnock all well below par. Lewis and Hoskins as expected and as for Rose, totally pointless. If he'd have changed it at half time, which he never does, we may well have had a good chance of winning, Eppiah and BAS completely changed the dynamic and I really think we'd have won if they'd had a bit more time. Sc***horpe are bottom for a reason and instead of going for it he seemed to set up to stifle their threat rather than play to our strengths. I know we're struggling with injuries/ bans but we should have enough to beat a team adrift at the bottom. Hey ho, onwards to Rochdale, another not so happy hunting ground.😬

I think we can safely say that we can forget the idea of Pollock ever playing for Northampton Town if he's not playing tonight. Im not Seals biggest fan by any stretch but he's scored 2 goals in 6 games, and should be starting a head of Rose. Our defence might carry us through again, but Brady has got this set up drastically wrong tonight.
Harsh when you have too many players out! When Eppiah and Bernard came on we started to play a bit. Then we missed 2 golden opportunities! Roberts hardly overworked, again thanks to the defence.Thought that Eppiah looked good. Defense looked solid and again earned us the draw. ...imo. McGowan put in another decent performance. Rose worked hard but hardly dynamic. Guthrie did well and marshaled the defense expertly all game. Fair result in the end but we had far and away the better chances 2nd half.

That performance, and many others this season has CC written all over it. But… we’re 2nd, happy days I just get the feeling CC is steering the ship. The way we play has him written all over it, coupled with the fact that Brady has never shown the style of play he promised. It is weird that we are sitting so high in the table when the team plays such mediocre football a lot of the time.

I said before the game that I hoped JB would not drop Pinnock back in Sowerby's place like he did on Saturday as I felt we were not as creative afterwards. JB left the substitutions too late tonight and we looked brighter and more like scoring after they had been made but we failed to score against a team that has already conceded 55. Too many players below their usual performance levels and it has to go down as 2 points dropped. Another clean sheet and now 1 goal conceded in our last 8 games.

As usual I had the opponents commentary on .....and this was fair, but they kept saying , if you didn't know the players, you would never tell which of the league positions they were in.
Dunno' about that , you would think 24th v 23rd !on that showing. I know we were depleted but.... Obviously .....It's only our magnificent defence that keeps us up there.

I missed the first 30 minutes because I had visitors but at the end of the game I was wishing they had stayed. That was just simply awful, with no Sowerby or McWilliams we had no midfield at all and it showed. Lewis is not good enough to play there and Pinnock is like a fish out of water in midfield. If he is not prepared to play Pollock and he clearly isn't then with the available players we had I would have played Lewis and Hoskins which would at least have allowed Pinnock to play further forward, albeit with no obvious target man in the middle. Another option for me would have been to play Mills at right back (yes I know he's a left back but does it make that much difference) and push McGowen into midfield, or play Mills at left back and play Koiki there. Thank goodness McWilliams is back Saturday.
As for the forwards we have a whole raft of them but none of them are really firing, albeit well done to BAS and Eppiah who at least livened things up when they came on. The least said about Rose and Bez the better. Hopefully Zimba will soon be fit to give us another option, surely 4 of his 6 weeks have passed.
How long will Sowerby be out for, I have to say he is far too injury prone for my liking, and we don't even know what is wrong with Appere, let alone how long he's out for.
It's a good job we have a good defence, let's hope for3 points at Rochdale, another difficult ground for us.

Haven’t said this very often this year but think Brady got it wrong tonight. Pinnock just simply isn’t a CM. How Danny Rose starts any league games is beyond me. Even BAS offers more of a threat. Eppiah was a huge threat when he came on however he has been recovering from an injury which could explain why he wasn’t in the starting lineup. He must surely start on Saturday if Apere is still out. Thought some of our usual performers were really off the pace today. Koiki made some really poor decisions, Guthrie defended well but seemed to want an eternity on the ball when being closed down by attackers. Lewis was sloppy and Hoskins struggled to get into the game.
Another clean sheet though and as someone else has alluded to, we’ve lost games like that in the past on many occasions. I’m still not entirely convinced we have enough quality going forward to finish in the top 3 but if we continue to defend the way we are we’ll certainly have a chance!

Poor performance tonight but it's a point. Bobbly pitch made it difficult to run with the ball but we went too long too soon and too often. Roberts had very little to do and it's hard to criticise the defence, although Koiki had one of his poorer games. How we missed Sowerby and McWilliams in midfield, their absence was the main reason the team didn't function well. Lewis is better deeper instead of supporting the striker (where he lacks pace), but he never wins a 50/50 challenge. I thought Pinnock was our best midfielder but was unable to get forward often enough to create chances. If Pollock didn't merit a place tonight I can't see much of future for him with us, sadly. Not much to report up front, Hoskins worked hard, as usual, Lubala couldn't trust the surface to be able to run at defenders and as for Rose, well I remember he consoled the player who went off on the stretcher! BAS and Eppiah livened us up and we had the chances to win the game late on. Like I said it's a point. At least we weren't left wishing that Joe Nuttall still played for us!

I guess that sometimes you have to grind out a result like tonight with the tools to hand... But! Fingers crossed, get our midfield duo back (with Tomlin in reserve?), and a chance (injuries permitting) of establishing Appere and Eppiah as our front two, and we may well be feeling a whole lot more positive in a few weeks time...

the poorest performance from the management team so far . On what world do Hoskins and Rose work up front ? Why did anyone think Pinnock would come off in midfield - frankly he played like a complete goon . It was obvious it wasn’t working and it didn’t get changed until far too late . Then Eppiah changed the game when he came on and did more in 15 minutes than the rest put together all game . Very poor decision making all round

What is actually amazing is that Brady says Pollock is not yet physical enough to play in his team....though he could get into a Keith Curle team?!?
and even if this is the case, don't play him in the centre, play a three in midfield, behind the striker or a bit out wide.
