Reminding people that they’re still here. They do a route over Npton every now and then
I see and hear them at work near Thetford pretty much daily, but it's extremely rare that they fly over Bury St Eds as often as they have been this week. Tonight has been rather noisy again.

"For his part, the leader of HTS, Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani, has been making public remarks to soften his image and reassure both Syrians and foreign leaders. He has emphasized his split years ago from Islamic State and Al Qaeda, presenting himself as a nationalist opposed to attacks outside Syria, and promising protection for minority communities. In an interview with CNN, al-Jawlani said the goal of the rebel forces was to overthrow the Assad regime and install a government that represents all Syrians." Not quite........ There are other groups involved in the rebellion, the Kurds for one and they won’t tolerate IS

Leopards and spots mate. I would personally view them as highly untrustworthy, especially with more than a whiff of power in their nostrils.

Don’t disagree but Assad, supported by Iran and Russia is neither our friend nor a shining example on human rights or democracy. Unfortunately once Assad is deposed I can see the currently unified rebel forces going back to their tribal differences and life in Syria remaining full of strife.

Irans biggest proxy force, had its leadership wiped out recently, by exploding pagers, and Russia has other things on its mind at the moment. Unless their Tartus naval base is threatened I cannot see them getting involved this time either. The whole area is a hotbed of tribalism, and anybody who trusts/believes a gun wielding, cheshire cat smiling, toyota pick up driver is in for a surprise.

I think wont tolerate is an understatement to say the least. I've met a few and the hatred is a constant in their lives. The Kurds will not be happy until they have an independent home state and will fight to the bitter end for this and all this will do is perpetuate the divisions in the area.

Glad to see the back of Assad, but hope for Syrians all over the world that their country has some peace and stability. Hopefully some of the refugees will get their dream of returning home, but if I was them, I wouldn't be rushing, I would wait to see what transpires for a while.
