So here’s a little scenario to help you -
A friend or loved one who works in the establishment is trapped in the building after a school shooting - special forces enter the building and in the process of neutralising the shooter also kill your loved one plus a few children for good measure- your simplistic previously stated view is it’s all down to the shooter and no worries about the collateral deaths.
Israel has every right to defend itself and indeed to seek retribution against the horrific attacks in October 2023 - in my opinion that does not extend to the slaughter of 30,000 plus women and children - in your apparent opinion it is justified, which either says a lot about you as a human being or hopefully more likely absence of balanced knowledge about the complexity of the actual situation.
The problem with news coming out of Gaza is it from Hamas, the deaths reported a fictitious, not to mention the fact that Hamas embed themselves in places like hospitals and schools, however I agree innocent people are being killed which is a tragedy. From an Israeli perspective you have an army on your doorstep who want to wipe you out, what do you do?

You continue to believe what you want re news coming out of Gaza - me or indeed the facts from several unbiased reporting outlets won’t change your view Just for interest who tells you Hamas are embedding themselves in all these places? - perhaps the same source that slaughtered innocent emergency healthcare workers and lied about the events - the first casualty of war is the truth - you choose to believe just one side which of course is your prerogative but personally I think there is a story on both sides & to believe every version from one side is somewhat naive. To be honest I envy how simple your life is - one without complications.

It’s called critical thinking, even the BBC who use terrorists for their reports say Hamas embed themselves in Hospitals. Hama have probably won the propaganda war aided and abetted by the left wing media. As for my life being simple, you haven’t got a clue 😉

Listened to the interview with the British doctor who operated on the surviving child whose parents and 9 siblings were killed in an Israeli attack on a hospital. Absolutely devastating. The mother was a paediatrician. Perhaps Mr Manwork will tell us the British doctor was Hamas and the the report was from a biased BBC.

The rat was hiding underneath the hospital, using innocent people as human shields.

From this week's Rest Is Politics. Tanks USA 2500 + China 5000 + Poland 770 UK 20
We currently have 2 serviceable aircraft carriers capable of taking 60-80 F35 planes each. Currently we have only 33 F35 planes carrying our flag

Interesting comparisons. With the nature of warfare changing, leading to increased use of exploding pagers/walkie talkies, aerial drones being driven in the back of trucks by unsuspecting locals, tanks are becoming less of a requirement. Poland would have a greater need for them, than the UK, given the fact that they have a border with Russia. Our total would depend upon meeting NATO requirements, but this may increase given Trumpys bollocking about Europe meeting their financial commitments. Perhaps the Major has a view upon this? With regard to the UK providing two thirds of Europes aircraft carrier facilities (France has the other one), thats more than our fair share. The aircraft that you mention, have to be the F35B variant, (A+C are unsuitable for our carriers to use) given the take off and landing techniques required. The aircraft are based at RAF Mareham, and are available at very short notice. The ships do not sail with a full compliment of jets, just the minimum required for operational purposes. The rest are at Mareham. I am sure that long term exposure to salt water, does not agree with their engines. 20 tanks and 35 jets eh? Not sure about those numbers. https://www.army-technology.com/news/british-army-currently-has-213-in-service-challenger-2-tanks/?cf-viewhttps://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/uks-first-batch-of-48-f-35b-jets-nears-completion/#:~:text=While%20the%20first%2048%20aircraft,be%20between%2060%20and%2080.

Those rather approximate figures came from Rest Is Politics podcast.

It doesn't matter what sci-fi technology is deployed, you'll always need 'boots on the ground' in order to fight wars. Our current 72k is nowhere near enough to sustain one small/medium sized conflict let alone more than one concurrently or anything larger.

Indeed. Although I was referring to the number of tanks required to fulfill NATO obligations?

DMs weren't the suppliers for Army boots. Too lightweight and not robust enough.
