This is the last of what was being called "4 easier games" and so far we have won just one. Since sacking Matty Taylor, after 7 consecutive defeats, Walsall have won 3 of their last 4 games. They beat Tranmere at home 1-0, then after Michael Flynn was appointed manager they went to FGR and won 1-0 and on Saturday they beat Hartlepool 3-1 at home. Before that they got a 0-5 hammering at Swindon. Away from home Walsall have won 4, drawn 3 and lost 9 with a 11-22 goal record. 3 of the wins have been against top 10 teams Sutton, Port Vale and FGR and all by 1-0, the other being 3-1 at Oldham. in 8 of the 16 games they have failed to score and only twice scored more than 1. They have kept 4 clean sheets but conceded more than 1 goal 6 times. Other than the win at FGR they have lost the other 6 of the last 7 away scoring 2 and conceding 13. In 42 games at home we have won 20, drawn 9 and lost 13 so they have left with some points from just over half of their visits and we have only won 3 of the last 10. Paul Howard is the referee and in 20 games he has issued 66 yellows and 5 reds. This is the first time we have had him this season but we had him twice last season in 1-2 defeats at Oxford City and Charlton. Another chance for us to complete a double as we won 1-0 at Walsall with a slightly fortunate goal as Pinnock's scuffed free kick was turned in by Appere who I expect to start in place of Eppiah. This could be our only change unless JB decides to revert to a back 4 but we need to be more creative and get back on the goal trail as none of the other top 7 teams are playing it would open up a nice points gap.

A swift return of the leather derby. I'd take a repeat of the away game but would really love to see some attacking intent and goalmouth action. That being said three points is the aim to set us nicely for Saturday.

Absolutely, who would not? Am extremely nervous about tomorrows game, especially after Sat lackluster effort. Hope its ill founded.

I believe JB's selection will be a key factor this evening.
A more attacking formation to get more players in the box and TRY and score at least 2 goals!
Roberts
McGowan Horsfall Guthrie Kioki
McWilliams
Hoskins Lubala Pinnock
Appere Eppiak
( I admit Magloire has done no wrong)

I also think both Appere and Eppiah will start. I'm thinking with JBs outburst after the game on Saturday, his feathers have been ruffled into providing something more attacking and entertaining.

It seems that Dr Feelgood has a bad feeling about every game. It must be playing havoc with his mental health so he ought to see a doctor. If his predictions had proved to be correct we would already be relegated to the National League as we probably would not yet have 10 points.

I have a bad feeling about how we would fare in the National League - lots of good ex-league clubs down there.

Hoping for a positive result tonight however it’s still a positive result that stops me attending. I never miss home games. I know that there were some unhappy people at Rochdale and some of the football on offer has been attritional but we are 2nd in the table going into tonight’s game. Not sure how but grateful to be in a strong position for the run in.
Want it Teyn, want it, want it, want it! Aaaarghhh

Well done on the morals but plenty out there with a positive result at the moment! It’s quite the hot topic in the work place.

I am not breaking any law should I attend but morally I could not as working in healthcare and seeing the effects it’s had in the last 2 years.
On another note I see posh have Man City in the cup and a likely full house. Here’s hoping they get f ucking smashed to bits and further demoralised in their relegation.

Three at the back again with Mills in for Koiki at LWB.
Hard not to think that JB has taken an already defensively competent/offensively limited team and made it even more defensive by his continued preference for Magloire in a back three.
Magloire is very decent, so I understand the impulse but the fact is the defence is more than adequate as a back four and we could really use an extra body further up the field. Also, for whatever reason our full-backs have actually diminished as an attacking force since their deployment as wing-backs in a 3-4-3. Can understand why Koiki has been rested as he's not really been in form since the switch to 3-4-3.
