There will no doubt be a bidding auction, and he will get some big offers. Way more than we can probably afford! Can see him going to somewhere like Pompey or Ipswich. A big league1 club who could easily double our best offer. Either one of those or Salford or Wrexham!  |

Wrexham came in for him ages ago but he has improved since then and i doubt he will stay

If his agents got anything about him, he will already be making contact with clubs like the above and lining up the bids. His improvement has been great to watch, but 3 of our back 4 under contract next season, plus the recent signing, so I think the club are implementing the right safety netting for when he leaves. |

Let’s be honest , he’s far too good for us and needs to move to a big club to progress.

Agree with this, like all L2 clubs, more often than not players who are good enough for the level above will move on at the end of their contract. The downside of the Bosman rule. |

He has had a very very good season but I think the goals he has scored has had most people believing he is at Championship level standard but not for me. He has made some howling mistakes this season that seem to get ignored. I’m not saying he ain’t a decent defender but for me Guthrie is the one i would hate to lose.
Guthrie just does the simple thing defensively, heads and kicks it away and plays when the time is right.
Plus I can’t think of too many mistakes he has made this season.
Hopefully we keep the both next season but that seems unlikely give Brady’s recent comments.

Guthrie's tackling at crucial moments is often excellent and very tidily executed. I don't think it's a surprise he's picked up relatively few cards. |

Absolutely spot on, The “Horse” is a decent defender at L2 and probably L1, never Championship. |

Could do with interest and a Goode transfer. You have to strike when the iron is hot with these players. It is starting to look as though Goode isn't cut out to play with the big boys.
Without his goals we would have been right in it, along with our impressive defensive record.
