Any views on his performance since the contract extension?
For me he still works as hard so it's not a case of longer contract don't have to bother so much but I have not been so impressed with his performances - every game he gives the ball away in very dangerous positions when his trickery doesn't come off - leaves us very vunerable on the left hand side as there is no cover (To be fair he is great at tracking back to recover as well). Also for me when he does beat his man going forward the quality of the crosses has been poor. I really rate him but his second half of the season has been less impactful than the first

He has gone backwards for me since he didn’t get a move in the January window. Doesn’t seem to be the same player and been very average.
Hopefully this is just a bad spell he is going through and will come back to form for the run in.

The opposition will presumably know more about him now. No point either beating his man if there's no one in the box to feed, losing Etete will be a blow. Perhaps he has also been told to tighten up his game at the back and that is impacting on his creativity going forwards?

If he was consistent he’d be playing in the Championship.

This is his first full season, I think he has been great for us, and would actually prefer him playing on the left in an attacking role. Just a shame Mills is our only other option for a left back .
We were bound to see a slight dip in form and wouldn't surprise me if he still goes at end of the season for a fee, as looking at the table now and our current form, we still be in this league next season.

Pretty much agree with everything said here. I would add;
1. Mills is not a Left Back. A weak link when we play him there. 2. I thought it was odd when we gave Koiki a "rest" a few weeks back (JB's words - he was on the Sub's bench I believe). I wondered if there had been words post the contract issue being resolved.
If we get promoted it makes sense to keep him and offer a longer contract. If we don't may be in both party's interests to let him go for as big a fee as possible.
Pinnock doesn't really back him up when he goes forward whereas on the other side Hoskins is more adept/willing/able to back up McGowan when he overlaps.

Pinnocks game is devolved of the ability to tackle and generally get stuck in. However he is one of the few players we have that has any quality in the final third.

He has never played a full season or anything like it . You have to expect a dip in form which is why JB left him out

I like Koiki a lot. He's definitely had a dip in form but so have others and he has all the ability to continue to develop in the future. In an ideal world he'd have had some time out of the side on occasions to freshen up but with Mills injured that's just not been possible. Don't forget how good our defence has been this season and he's been a big part of that.
I've no evidence to back this up just opinion. I think it's simply a long first full season catching up on him.
