Gilligan up front is a good shout for the short term (only until we sign that much needed target man), certainly a better option than Holt.
If I recall correctly, Gilligan had his best ever game playing up front, at Nene Park.

Just leaves us needing a commanding CM IMHO.

Beat me to it!
Perhaps we could see Collis play before deciding on him though, don't you think?

Here's mine

NEW SIGNING
J Johnson - NEW SIGNING - NEW SIGNING - NEW SIGNING
NEW SIGNING - Osman - NEW - Jacobs
Bauza/NEW SIGNING - Harrad

Haven't really seen enough of Bauza so if he turns out to be crap then we can finally get a 6ft+ guy in. Considering that he is only on a month-to-month deal, I wouldn't be surprised if he is only a short-term solution to our injuries.

I'd only keep 4 of our current crop, and i'm only keeping Harrad because of the fee we paid for him.

In my honest opinion, we need Wedderburn and Osman in central midfield. I think our results have been OK when they have been together. We CANNOT play 4-5-1. We just don't seem to ever make it work and the striker up front is always isolated, cannot hold the ball up and we have to start defending all over again. Beckwith and Tozer do not work as a centre-back partnership. I'd be tempted with:

Dunn

Nana, Johnson, Tozer, Reckord

Gilligan, Wedderburn, Osman, Jacobs

Harrad, Bauza

Should we be chasing a goal, Thornton can come on as an impact sub, in the MIDDLE behind the strikers.

After yesterday, you'd have to say that

Johnson---Beckwith---Tozer---Hall

at the back as we finished at Southend is a better bet than

Nana---Johnson---Hall---Reckord

and whose decisions are those changes?

I can't see Tozer and Beckwith playing along side each other again. the fact there too alike and flat footed goes against straight off.

I most certainly don't have to say that.

No, you don't, of course - but I think that yesterday's defence was several steps backwards in just a couple of weeks. Yesterday, especially towards the end, was a total shambles.
