I really dislike Sc***horpe, I dont like the ground, I dont like the area, no decent pub stops either. But to blame them for what just happened is absurd. Brizzle were always going to go for it. Blame the second half change of formation, and questionable subs. To sit back in the second half, is naive to say the least. I think Calderwood may have an influence in that.
So, on to Mansfield. I dont like that place either.
And if my auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle... yes, of course it ultimately comes down to the entire season and if we'd done better over the course of that we'd be up already, but literally every team could say the same - even Sc***horpe!
The fact of the matter is we all went into the last game knowing what the situation was and what we all needed to do to secure promotion. No quarter asked or given. All you should be able to expect is a level playing field. We played Barrow's men's team and won 3-1. Bristol played pretty much Sc***horpe's youth team and won 7-0.
Would they have beaten their full team by that margin? Who knows, but the fact their previous meeting with Rovers this season was a narrow 3-2 defeat for Scunny suggests it would have been a much tighter affair. And that's on Hill.
