Just watched the game from the Sky recording as most of the action was at the far end from which we were situated. Maxted - would not put any blame on him for the second goal, got a good punched clearance first half and a fine save at the start of the second half but have to agree with KC's comment that he was badly positioned for the first goal for being too far outside his near post. Mills should have done much better with his free header and I don't recall him getting a challenge in all game, also Mansfield got the cross in far too easily for the second goal. The first goal looked marginally offside. Referees need to clamp down on the grappling in the penalty area from corners and free kicks once they start giving penalties defenders will know they can't get away with it and it should cut a lot of it out. Unfortunate to not come away with a draw but Mansfield are nothing special away from home and repeat the second half performance and we can go through. Away support excellent, albeit rather crude at times, loud for most of the game and we need to show the same on Wednesday although it is not as easy with the support being fragmented. All still to play for.

I thought the officials were very poor throughout - the holding at set-pieces was ridiculous, I hope we have a stronger referee on Wednesday. The challenges on Appere and Hoskins were crude at best - also, how Hawkins avoided at least a yellow is beyond me.

Real quandary in the Bingers household now. With younger Boy Bingers winning his u18 Cup semi final this morning, his final game of junior football to potentially clinch the League and Cup double for the mighty Bingley Juniors is scheduled for........ Saturday 28th May. Should he play or should he go?

If he is a player he should play - I had the same dilemma playing for Northampton Saints HC. You are only young once. How about a report on the game las night ?

Enjoyed that despite the result, i think we have enough. With Roberts MCgowan and Eppiah starting we would have won last night. Mitch looks wasted in the middle Thought our fans were fantastic despite singing shoe army

I suspect he will want to play, so do I watch him or The Mighty Cobblers. My report on last night's game for anyone who wasn't there or who didn't watch it on the television or iFollow is that had it gone to extra time, we would have won. Wednesday is that extra time. I have researched train tickets to that there London for a week on Saturday.

Did the commentators say that yesterday JJOT was making his 499th appearance? If so, a big 500th on Wednesday.

According to Rim and Bingers there’s a new initiative where referees are apparently reading up on the laws of the game, so it looks like it’s being sorted 👍

He should play and you should watch him. It's not often you get the opportunity to win trophies or see you kids do it. They're the days I look back mostly fondly on from my playing days. Even the final I played in and lost is a memory for the occasion.

This is true. Although my other son is prepared to fly back from France to see The Mighty Cobblers at Wembley, but not his brother. Opinions vary between my fellow parents in the team had it been Bradford. It would seem that The Mighty Cobblers get to Wembley more often than Bradford do.

I get the impression from his post match interview, that Nigel doesn't believe that a one goal lead is enough for the second leg...

Cloughie‘s comments and the body language of the players suggested they were the losing side but it means nothing at this stage and they remain most bookies slight favourite- can’t wait until Wednesday

I'd like us to start like at Barrow and then carry on the motion...

I think if Mansfield go through they’ll fully deserve it. With their away record, our decent form and a home crowd it would be a great achievement. You could clearly tell NC was really hoping for that crucial 3rd goal. I’d say the odds were pretty even but the bookies will always go with the team in front. I maintain that we should see a better performance from us being a goal down as opposed to coming in a goal up. That could have been ugly. After the final day stuffing being kicked out, I see anything as a bonus now this season.
